Mr.Jackson reached for his phone, as he called his manager to come to his office
"Sir, you called for me"
Mr Gregory , a tall lanky man in his fifties putting on white T-shirt and Ash pants with black belt tied around his waistline and a red tie, Stood in front of Jackson
"Yes, I need a new secretary, Miss Sophia resigned to take care of family, so we are left with no one to occupy the position of a secretary. I want you to get me a competent secretary, her qualifications must match the standard of this company; she must be smart and very swift with carrying out her job effectively. I do not want stories, I repeat I do not want stories! If she fails in her duties in any way as a secretary, it will be all on you and you will face the consequences!"
Mr.gregory eyes turned red immediately, where will he find such a qualified personnel?, what if she is qualified and ends up not been serious with her work ? Streams of questions that bombarded his mind
Mr.Jackson saw the bewildered look on his face and he snapped his fingers to call out to him but he wasn't replying
"Mr Gregory, Mr.Gregory" he yelled
"Sorry sir, but I'm a bit confused"
"confused, over what exactly?"
"it's just that I fear that….just may be someone might act right at first and become a disappointment tomorrow! Sir er-er you know I have worked here for over ten years. I was employed by your late dad and I have tried to always put in my best, but you see this young ones they do not take life seriously and that's my concern"
"what do you mean by "this young ones?!" jackson yelled angrily
"I'm young and in my 26th year and the Ceo of this company, are you implying that I don't take my life seriously!"
"Oh no-no sir, not you sir, you're not like them sir but……
"I'm not like them?"
Mr.Jackson stood up with his face burning red
"I can't believe you will say such a thing, you don't judge anyone by someone's mistake, life isn't fair that way. Everyone deserves a chance, you ought to know better !"
"No I am- am sorry sir, accept my apology. I don't know why I said that, I promise to get a proficient secretary for this company "
"I think it will be better, I interview her myself, You may leave! "
"Okay sir"
Mr Gregory walked out of Jackson's office hastily

Andrea in her very tiny room, she flashed back as her thought ran wide of how she had lost her parents at a tender age. She grew up lonely and sadness filled her heart whenever she thought of how she lost her parents in a fire accident. She had no contact with any relative so she took shelter in the streets. Until, one day an average lady in her mid-fourties met her on the streets begging for money.
"Ann, Andrea, honey is that you"
Andrea turned her gaze to the lady, she didn't look familiar, she took a step back because she was afraid. It might be someone who wants to hurt her but the lady took a step forward closing in on the distance between them
"No honey, don't be afraid, I'm your auntie, your aunt juliet
Andrea recalled that she once had an aunt, her mother's only sister but her mom lost contact with her before she passed on. Her aunt gave her a tight warm hug, and they both cried uncontrollably, she followed her auntie home and stayed with her aunt, then she applied she for a university, she got an admission into "Aberystwyth university". Her aunty paid for her schoolfees only, that's all she could afford, andrea got an after school job to buy her textbooks till she graduated, And one day, she decided to move out
"Aunty, I'm leaving"
"You are leaving to where?"she paused
"Wait, don't tell me the taxi outside is waiting for you" she continued
"Aunt, yes it is, but we've talked about this, I told you I will be moving out"
"Yes, you did, but I remembered telling you not to leave now honey"
"Aunty, I really have to go, am not leaving the city, I just need to get my own apartment and get a decent job, I want to serious with my life "
"But Ann, I am afraid, I don't want to loose you again" she said with tears filled in her eyes
"You're not loosing me again, I promise, I will always be in touch",
she hugged and kissed her aunt and left with her luggage already packed at the boot of the taxi
After andrea left her aunty, it hasn't been easy but andrea was very determined and she wouldn't let her guide down, she rented a smaller apartment for herself, she got the money from her job as a bar attendant, she furnished the apartment gradually from her salary but one day, she quitted the job because she couldn't tolerate the way men admired her lustfully when they come to the bar and some even take her for a "call girl",asking her to spend a night with them
she felt a deep sharp pain pieced to her heart, life as always cheated her, men always want to have their way with her, she remembered how Mr.willow flirted with her and a incident of how a customer almost r***d her when she went to open a bank account for the customer….
"These has always been my life, it sucks so bad and I hate it, nothing….
she heard a chimming sound coming from her cell phone, she picked it up to check the content of the message, and she read it in her mind
"Miss Andrea, we've got your application for the post of a secretary and we would want you to……
"Come with your cv tomorrow for your interview" she read out loud
"What, I can't believe this, am I really going for an interview tomorrow, oh my!, the heavens finally smiled on me, but….I haven't got what to wear, I need to check my wardrobe for a nice office wear".
She walked hastily to her wardrobe, then
she picked out a pair of pants and a t-shirt with heels

Jackson steps out of a car, black Range Rover spot, he dressed in a black suit, a black pant and a black inner with his perfectly white tie hanging on his collar, he held his suitcase and he walks gallantly into his company.
"Good morning Sir"
Echoes of greeting from his employees, without a word coming from his lips, his face passive, all he did was give a nod to the greetings of his employees , as he headed towards the direction of the elevator, the building of his company is a sky scrapper building and it would take him minutes to get to his office
As he stepped into his office, Mr Gregory walked hurriedly behind him and he greeted him
"Good Morning sir" Mr Gregory greeted Jackson
"Good Morning" he answered
"I have got the applicant, she is sitting and waiting for you sir "
Mr.Jackson sat on his seat without uttering a word
"Do I-I-I bring her in " Mr Gregory stuttered and his hands were shaking in fear
"Why the stumbling of words, have you lost your confidence?" Mr. Jackson asked
Mr.Gregory was tensed because he recalled what his boss said about him facing the consequences of not employing a competent secretary, even though he decided to interview the applicant himself, he was still afraid he will get in trouble with his boss, if she fails to be very efficient
"No, I haven't lost my confidence sir"
"Do I bring her in" he said in a hurry
"Have you checked the cv, does she fit, is she capable of been my secretary?"
"Yes I did, but I implore you examine the cv yourself sir"
"Mr. Gregory you seemed to have lost it, you just confirmed that she is qualified for this job but why then, do you want me to check the cv again
Jackson took a deep breath in
Alright, bring her in"
"Okay sir"
