Andrea lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling fan twirling round and her eyes moving in every direction the fan faced. She couldn't find sleep, series of thoughts bombarded her. The interview with Jackson was awful, she lost her job and she needed another job fast, if not she will go hunger and back to the street once again
"I do not have enough food stuffs to sustain for the next month, I really a job and I'm so tired of going for job hunting"
Sigh
her eyes met her wall clock
"Oh my!, it's 01:50 pm,i need to catch some sleep and go for job hunting tomorrow ", she slowly closes her eyes and she dozed off.
08:00 am
Andrea jumped out of her bed, a loud sound woke her up and with a pounding headache, it was her phone ringing continuously.
"Hello" in a sleepy voice
"Hello, am I speaking to Miss Andrealina?" the voice at the other end spoke
Andrea was puzzled, people don't know her by full name 'andrealina' most people knew her as andrea, so how's it possible for someone she didn't know to address with her full name
"Yes, I am andrea" she said
"This is the manager of the De-wills travelling enterprise"
"Did you say De -wills enterprise?"
"Yes, we've reviewed your cc and you're qualified for this job, so you'll resume work tomorrow by 7:45 am prompt"
"O-okay sir"
The call ended but Andrea couldn't believe the news she just uncovered, was this a dream? But she had a brawl with Mr.Jackson or could this be all a setup?
"But why will he set me? What will be his gain?, Or is he planning something malicious?. These rich people could sometimes be very cunning, or maybe I shouldn't bother going there, but I really need this job. I just hope he is not up to something mischievous"
Andrea kept pondering with these questions in her mind. she couldn't come to terms with the fact that Mr.Jackson, would want her to come to work for him, after all he said during the interview

Andrea sat in the waiting room with her bag sitting on her laps, she taps her feet softly on the floor while an earpiece was plugged to her ears, so she could hear everyone talking because she lowered the volume
A tall lanky man walked in, "Miss Andrealina" he called.
"Yes sir" she stood, as he walked to her
"I am Mr. Gregory, the manger of this company. My boss asked that you should resume work immediately".
"Sir just curious, do you mean Mr. Jackson Williams?"
"Yes, he says are very much qualified for this job, the company is very much in need of a secretary".
Andrea was confused because she knew she had a scuffle with Jackson, so what exactly could be going on?
"Let me take you to your office"
The Manager took Andrea to her office and stopped at the door, then he turned and walked away
Andrea walked into her office slowly but steadily, she looked at the entire office, she was indeed amused by the view of the office
"A gold platted chair and a desk"
Her eyes glittered with excitement and her eyes flashing through the shiny bronze-colored computer
"Wow! This looks new"
she sweeps her hands on the computer and starts typing randomly, then she paused for a while
"I should start working now", so she began to sort out licensed documents and arranged them in an orderly form
Jackson walked in on andrea in the office and stood by the door, he watched her and he was surprised she started doing some work already He was impressed by this. Andrea was very fast and focused, he kept his gaze on andrea and when she turned to meet Jackson glaring at her. She got up but she didn't keep her balance, so it caused the chair stumbling to the ground.
Jackson realizes he had lost his focus, and he hardened his face while he walked in
"Be careful now Andrea, destroying my property would cost you a lot of money, I doubt if you would be able to pay for it, if you ruin it ".
Andrea was upset by this statement but she kept calm and she picked up the chair.
"Sir, thank you for giving me this job, I promise to put in my best and you would never regret employing me"
Jackson walks to the chair and he take a seat, while andrea stood near the desk
"Save that thank you for later, I am driven to see your potential you claimed you have, just prove to me that I did not waste my time hiring you. Is that clear !? "
"Yes sir
Jackson gets up and leaves.
Andrea thought Jackson finally realised that she was the best person for this and he decided to employ her but that wasn't the case
"I don't understand him,did he employed me to torture me?"
"I will prove to him that I am the best secretary he has ever worked with"
04:15 pm
Andrea continued to sort out every licensed document she found. She was extremely busy that she forgot she didn't have her lunch, but her stomach was there to remind her
A rumbling sound from her stomach
"Oh, that hurts" she robbed her belly sofly
"Wait a minute"
she raised her chin and looked straight to the clock hanging on the wall
"No way, it's pasted 4 o'clock, and I haven't had my lunch yet"
She reached for her coat that was placed on the chair, took her debit card, and headed out to a nearby restaurant to get food.
10 minutes after Andrea left her office
Jackson sat down in his office, he massaged his head slowly, he was stressed and needed to take a rest, but he wouldn't dare to leave, because he is a 'workaholic', even though he knew he could leave because he is the Ceo of the company. Jackson would prefer to drown himself with work, so he could feel less troubled and not think of his atrocities
"My head hurts so bad, I think I need a coffee"
he yanked his telephone to call his secretary, he called twice but no one picked
"Darm it!, where could have gone to"
he stood up and walked to andrea's office but he did not meet her in the office.
He was pissed now, his countenance changed, his eyes became red and he tightened his fist as though he wanted to give someone a blow, and suddenly Andrea walked in with a paper bag
She saw the angry look on his face and his fist tightened, she became afraid, scared what to say or do now, she just kept mute and stared at Jackson's face with fear in her eyes
"You left this office without informing me, how dare you !? Do you know you could be suspended for this?"
His voice was so loud like a lion roared.
Andrea was dumbfounded, she was vividly trembling in fear, her hands were shaking "if he fires me now, I am done for,I will have nothing, I'll starve even my savings money won't sustain me" She thought
"Sir-sir-sir, I-I stepped out to go grab lunch, I'm so sorry about that "
"Sorry, sorry, sorry, that's all I hear in this company. As my secretary you should be in your office from 7:40 am to 9pm whenever I need you and I call out to you, you should hastentily and accurately carry out what I assigned you for"
Andrea's head face down, she felt like crying but that would make her appear weak to Mr.Jackson, so she held back tears
"I am sorry sir"
"No more sorry's, when I need you, you should be available always except you are not present in work"
"Okay sir, what can I do for you?"
"That's a rather foolish question to ask?, you shouldn't ask me what you can do for me, I will tell you what I want you to do for me"
"Okay sir, I'm sorry about that ".
"I need you to get me a coffee"
Andrea hurriedly dropped the bag she held and she headed to go get the coffee
"Sir, I will go get the coffee now"
"Alright then, I will be in my office"
Andrea walked to the direction where the coffee machine is and took a tray that contains a cup, sugar, milk and spoon, then she turned on the coffee machine and poured out hot coffee into the cup
"I don't know what he wants from me?, I am not his wife or his nanny. Why get him a coffee?"
The cup was filled with coffee to the brim and it began to spill on the bare floor
"Oh s**t!, not now. I need to get this my boss"
She dropped the tray in her hands and took out a tissue to wipe it off the floor,It wasn't entirely clean so she signaled the cleaner, who sat at a corner
"Please clean this mess, I am going to give Mr.Jackson his coffee"
She took the tray and carefully rushed to Jackson's office
A soft knock on Jackson's door
"You may come in"
"Sir your coffee. I didn't add sugar or milk but I have them here, I don't know how you like it"
Jackson picked a coffee spoon and took two spoons of sugar, he added it to his coffee without adding milk. The he placed it an his lips and took a sip
Andrea stood there watching him, she didn't want to leave without his permission
Jackson kept sipping his coffee and he never said a word to her.
"Sir, Do you need anything else?"
Jackson waved his hands without saying a word and gesturing her to leave his office
Andrea was angry with his attitude but she was glad he didn't complain about the coffee. She went to her office, took her lunch but she was not pleased by what she saw
"What? This is already cold" well, that goes my lunch"
she angrily tossed it into the waste can.
11:27 pm
It was passed 11pm, Andrea rest her head on her desk, she was so tired and hungry. She waited for Jackson to complete his work, before she leaves but Jackson didn't know she was still in the company. He expected everyone to leave the company by 09:00 pm. Jackson was ready to leave, he switched off all the lights
Andrea stood up immediately as she saw the lights go off, she quickly picked her bag and rushed out. She was afraid she might be locked up in the company building. She dashed out of her office and headed out for the door but it wasn't bright, so she stumbled on someone
"What the hell?, why are you still here?, I hope you are not planning to sleep in my company"
"No sir, far from it, I am just following your instructions"
"My instructions?"
"Yes sir, you instructed that I close by 09:00pm, so I figured out that I will wait till you are done, in case you need anything. I would be here to serve you"
"You silly girl I asked you to close 09 o'clock not 11:30 pm"
"11:30 pm!, oh I didn't figure out, it's this late because I slept off"
"Your family would be worried now" he said
Andrea kept a gloomy and sad face
"I don't have any family, I am an orphan, I lost my parents at a tender age"
"Oh! really, well sometimes life isn't fair, let me drop you off "
he patted her softly on her back and he headed for the door
"Did he feel not feel sorry for me or he dosen't care?, does he have a heart?
I lost my parents and all he could say is____
"Are you coming Miss Andrea"
"Yes, I am coming"
They both got to his car but his driver was fast asleep. Jackson tapped on the glass and the driver got up and opened the door for them and they hopped into the back seat. there was silence in the car. Mr. Jackson fixed his gaze on his phone, andrea wondered why he was this cold.
In less than 20 minutes they arrived at andrea's street "Ashlin Road"
"Ma'am, we have arrived at your destination"
Andrea already told the driver where she was headed while they were still on the road. So she stepped out of the car and she stood to wave at Mr. Jackson but he ignored and they made a U-turn and drove off
"I can't believe he just ignored me, he's so mean and heartless"
