When we finished supper me and Alisa decided we would watch a movie before heading to bed. I was exhausted, I didn’t even do the dishes as she dragged me to the couch and put on ‘My Little Pony the Movie.’ I think I fell asleep quarter of the way through it. I knew she wouldn’t mind as she knew how tired I was. I herd my phone going off as I stirred. Alisa had paused her movie and was holding my phone for me. I smiled at her as I took it.
“Hello?” I tried to hold the fact I was just asleep at bay but that didn’t help.
“Hey Molly, did I wake you.?” Oliver asked concerned. It put a smile on my face that I was actually talking to him and not his demon.
“Yeah.” I spoke stretching. That’s when it hit me what he actually said. I panicked as I continued. “Wait no, I fell asleep watching a movie. Sorry, I’m glad you called.”
“Oh, um I have a favor to ask.” He was nervous. Something was wrong. His demon must have done something or he was injured .
“What’s wrong?” I asked. Worry laced each letter. He had to be fine. I don’t know how I would make it if he was calling me from the hospital or something. I was suppose to protect my family and if he was there I would break.
“My Girlfriend is staying with me tonight. Someone tried to r**e her.” He spoke gently. Oh thank god he is okay.
“Absolutly. You bring that poor girl over right away. I’ll get some food going and a few things ready.” I spoke getting up off the couch and racing to the kitchen. I began to pull out the leftover s from supper. Alisa was confused as she stood by the door to the living room.
“Please don’t…I don’t want…” a women stuttered out. She sounded so broken. The poor girl. I just want to hug her, to comfort her it’s not her fault.
“Non-sense. You are not going to inconvenience me at all. Now my brother is very strong and loving. He wouldn’t want you anywhere else but at his side specially after what you went through. Plus I think I would have beaten him if he took you anywhere else. Do you have a sibling?” I spoke gently to her. I didn’t want her to feel threatened by me.
“He’s working. I live with him.” She spoke sounding like my words have relaxed some of the worry out. I was happy to hear that. She has been through something bad tonight and for her to be able to relax means my words are helping and that puts a smile on my face.
“I bet he is at work and no one is at home.” I told her knowing fare well what my brother was thinking when he offered our house. “My brother would not bring you home if not. Plus I wouldn’t feel comfortable being alone after what happened. We are here and we will keep you safe.”
“Thank you.” She cried happily. Oh this poor girl.
“Oh girl, we got your back. Now you relax and I’ll see you soon.” I chuckled gently knowing we where about to gain another sister. I hung up as I put the phone in my back pocket.
“Who that?” Alisa asked as she watched me move quickly around the kitchen.
“Oliver is bringing over his girlfriend who has gone through something traumatic.” I told her gently. “So when she gets here we have to shower her with as much love as we can to welcome her okay.”
“Absolutely.” She smiled.
“Alright honey why don’t you finish your movie while I get things done here.” I told her with a smile. She nodded and went back to her movie. I waited a few minutes before I got magic to work the food. I raced over to Oliver’s bedroom where I quickly cleaned up. Well magic cleaned it up and changed the sheets. I knew I wouldn’t have much time. When I was satisfied I raced back to the kitchen and plated the food to be ready for her. Didn’t matter to me if she was hungry or not. What mattered is it was ready if she was.
It didn’t take long before Oliver walked through the door with her. Well Alisa heard and came running. She wrapped her arms around the girls legs almost tripping her. This caused her to giggle. She was definitely not clothed right. I reached in to take her. Oliver having aa mental battle with something let her go as I led her up to my room. She was about the same size so I was able to find her some sweats and a t-shirt with no problem.
“Thank you.” She spoke with tears in her eyes. I walked up to her and held her tight. She hugged me back just as tight.
“You are most welcome. Come let’s get you some food.” I smiled to her as I held her at arms length. She nodded with a smile.
“I’m Prissy.” She said happily. I smiled with her.
“Molly.” I told her.
“I know, your brother has told me so much about you.” She chuckled.
“Well I hope all good things.” I laughed with her. She nodded as we left my room. I got her set T the table where Alisa was sitting waiting.
“Oliver wanted to talk to you.” Alisa spoke gently. I nodded as Prissy motioned me to go. Alisa got off the chair she was on and raced over to one beside her and began to help her eat. My sister a little forceful but she means good.
“Oliver.” I said gently entering the room. I noticed him in the corner eyes closed. I quickly shut the door and raced over to him. Bad idea as he lunged at me. I managed to get out of the way as he staggered back.
“I used…” He tried saying causing me to jump at him with my hands on his chest. I closed my eyes and focused. This would have been a little easier if I wasn’t already physically tired. I found the bonds he tried to put up and strengthened them for him. I knew it would not hold but it should long enough for him to get a hold of himself.
“There.” I smiled happily as I looked up at him. His arms snaked around me and held me tight as I felt the tears falling down his cheek.
“I let him in. I let him hurt you.” He gently cried.
“Don’t worry Oli. We will fight this together okay. We will fight him back slowly.” I soothed him with my words. He just nodded his head as he held me tight. When he did let me go he still looked upset. I placed my palms on his cheeks and used my thumbs to clear his tears. “I promised when parents died, we are in this together and I mean it.”
“I know but if I had only trusted you and didn’t let him in we wouldnt be here.” He said placing his hand gently on my neck. I shuttered a little causing him to frown.
“Your hands are cold.” I chuckled causing him to smile. I knew he was thinking I was scared of his hands. I mean Yes I am but no the shutter was because his hands where cold. “Alisa is fine. You didn’t hurt her, just scared her.”
“I know. She didn’t even want to look at me.” He spoke with a frown. I grabbed his hand and led him out to his girl who was happily eating and giggling with Alisa.
“She'll forgive you.” I smiled at him. “Come Alisa let’s get ready for bed.”
“Thank you. I’m sorry I didn’t bring her over sooner.” Oliver spoke upset.
“I haven’t made things easy for you Oliver. Being in the hospital and then you having to pick up the slack because of that.” I told him with a smile. “And now this. Don’t worry about it. I’m just glad she is safe and has a man like you to look after her.”
“Molly.” He said wanting to say something more.
“The demon would never hurt anyone but me and I know that. I am your light in the darkness. He is after that light.” I told him. He nodded as he stepped away and sat down beside his girl and enjoyed super. I got Alisa ready for bed. I tucked her in with a kiss on her forehead before I left. She smiled snuggling into her pillow.
The kitchen was a mess and I knew it had to be cleaned. I couldn’t leave it like this with a guest in the house. Oliver probably took Prissy to his room once she was full. I smiled knowing he had someone in his life. She seemed like a nice girl. She didn’t take anything for granted. I began to package up the leftovers again. It would make lunch for us tomorrow. I prepped a few other things before I started to get dizzy. I knew it was due to sleep and the fact I used quite a bit of magic today. I held the counter as I tried to focus on my breathing. I had to get the spots to stop so I could get to my bedroom.
“Molly.” Oliver cried as I felt him grab my falling body. Oh boy here we go again. When I came to I was on something soft but familiar. The sun was shining through the window.
“Easy.” Prissy spoke gently as her hand fell on my shoulder.
“What happened?” I asked as she helped me sit up.
“Oliver said you collapsed last night. He was so stressed he went to the office. Asked me to sit here and keep an eye on you.” She gently spoke sitting beside me on the bedside. Oh this is not good. “Alisa is downstairs watching a movie. Did you want me to grab her.”
“Yes please.” I smiled at her noticing my cell phone beside me. She smiled as she got up and walked away. I gathered my phone and called him.
“Molly.” He cried.
“I’m okay Oli. I promise I’m okay.” I quickly spoke.
“Thank god.” He said with a sigh. “I couldn’t stay. I had to get out.”
“I know. Prissy told me.” I told him upset.
“This is not your fault Molly. Don’t cry. I’ll be home soon okay.” Oliver said trying to comfort me. I nodded my head causing him to laugh. “by the sound the phone is making you are nodding.”
“Yeah.” I chuckled realising what I did wrong.
“I promise sis I’ll be home soon okay.” He said. He did just that. Prissy had breakfast on my lap with Alisa beside me. She helped me move down to the couch so I could watch Netflix. Oliver came home bags filled with many things causing me to smile. This was the Oliver I knew. This was my twin brother. I prayed it would stay but I knew we had a demon to destroy and it was up to me to figure it out. He has gotten to strong and had to be stopped.
“Oliver.” Alisa smiled happily. I’m so glad she wasn’t afraid of him.
“I was so scared.” Oliver gently spoke as he came over and wrapped me in his arms. Prissy had the tray of food moved before he could knock it over.
“Alright honey we need to let her go so she can eat.” Prissy spoke concerned. Oliver nodded as he let me go.
Oliver was so protective over me for the next week. I was not aloud to return to work and he made sure to bring work home for me. Marilyn stopped in twice during the week to make sure I was okay and Prissy stayed with us. Her brother would picker her up for work and drop her off when she was done. He was an amazing guy and loved his sister as much as Oliver loved me. It was nice to have my brother back.
I was aloud back to work after the week off but Oliver and Marilyn checked on me every few hours. Lunch was eaten with one of them and Alisa flowed between the three of our offices as she saw fit. She stayed with me mostly. Said it was because she could run for help it I got tired or something. For 5 she was so strong.
“Molly.” Alisa cried as I flopped into my chair. She care running over.
“Easy sis.” I gently told her as I rubbed my temples. I had a headache coming on. I forgot my water bottle and didn’t buy one at lunch as I forgot both my debit and change at home. Tell you the truth forgot my purse at home. Oliver was in a meeting all day.
“Water.” Alisa said running out of the office. I tried to stop her but that didn’t work she was gone before I could do anything. And standing right now was out of the question. She came back with a bottle of water.
“You could have just asked one of us.” Scott spoke as he opened it and passed over the water bottle. Him and I have gotten really close as he is like my second in command. I can send him for almost anything and he will bring it for me. Specially right now.
“I didn’t want to bother you.”
“Oh come on girl, you know I am here to help.”
“I know but those organizations really needed to be organized and I was already busy with another.” I spoke sipping the water. He held out his and with a liquid Advil causing me to smile.
“Oh dear, running a water bottle and Advil to you takes no time at all. Plus I actually needed a break. Colors are swirling together instead of staying where they should be.” He confessed making me laugh. I smiled gently as I took the Advil and quickly swallowed it. I noticed Molly over on the small chair looking at me.
“Thank you Scott.” I smiled happily though the headache wasn’t going away. I knew it would take time.
“Alright if you need anything you let me know. And for what you have done for this company I think we all can spare more change for a water bottle cost.” Scott chuckled before leaving. I wanted to laugh but knew that would only cause the headache to worsen.
I sat looking out the window for a long time. The headache soon disappeared which was helpful. I was able to get back to work to which I was now behind. Most of the stuff I would have to do tomorrow due to the time it was. Alisa was so quiet I didn’t even hear her to the point I panicked when I couldn’t see her. I quickly got up to which I tripped and came crashing down. Oh can this day get any worse. Yep, I said it, and yep it can. Low and behold guess who walked in the moment I was falling.
“Molly.” He screamed racing over. He quickly got me untangled from the laces that where suppose to be tied up on my wedges. It was suppose to lace up my leg like a ballerina shoe. Didn’t notice one was undone. He placed me on the chair and forced me to look at him. Well the headache came back twice as heard causing me to wince.
“I’m okay Oliver. Alisa was missing and I panicked.” I told him. “And now my headache is back.”
“Why do you have a headache.” He asked worried.
“I forgot my water bottle and my purse and you where in a meeting every time I had a chance to ask you.” I told him as I grabbed the bottle beside him. He looked at it then me. “Alisa saw me fall into the chair and raced out looking for water. She came back with Scott who gave me a lecture about not asking him for a bottle. He would have gladly have given me it.”
“Well I think that’s enough for today.” Oliver gently chuckled as he helped me gather my things. Well more like he gathered them while I told him what to grab. He then helped me to my feet and out to the car. Alisa was with Marilyn helping her pin up some Drawings her grand children had drawn.
“Molly you okay.” Alisa asked as Oliver buckled her in. Normally it was me when we where together but he had me buckled in the front first.
“She is just tired.” Oliver smiled causing me to nod. “We are going home for some soup and she is being tucked into bed.”
“I have to clean the house.” I pouted.
“Nope me and Oliver can do it.” Alisa smiled.
“I’ll call a maid tomorrow to do a whole house clean while we go somewhere.” Oliver smiled before he shut the door. I looked at him confused.
“Oh Oliver is taking us to the mall.” Alisa screamed happily. I just smiled.
“The mall, no way.” Oliver smiled as he got in the car. “This is something way better and much needed.”
“What are you talking about Oliver?” I asked a little worried. He grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
“You will see sis. I promise.” He said gently with so much love in his eyes. It was like a dream was about to come true and in a way it scared me a little. I know nothing I should fear for my brother loves us but the demon is still there. The week he has let me go to work I have been using magic slowly daily. I had to get stronger then what I was. I had began going through mom journals in Hope’s to find something that would help me. But nothing has come up.
“Oliver got a surprise for us.” Alisa asked gently. He smiled a she nodded. She was so excited but it still scared me. Oliver grabbed my hand once more and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
