The next morning, Elena strolled into the workplace with a somewhat more cautious gait than normal.
Ever since she had left Jace's hotel room that morning, she had been looking forward to this moment. Though her mind was racing with what-ifs and possible confrontations, she kept her composure.

Taking a deep breath, she sat down and tried to concentrate on her work.
