The Malvis mansion's luxury dining room was a study in sophistication and intimacy. Candlelight danced on the beautiful cutlery, creating swirling shadows that swung in sync with the quiet classical music coming from hidden speakers. Avalynn and Jace sat opposite ends of the large, elaborately decorated dinner table, their quiet punctuated only by the subtle clinking of cutlery on exquisite porcelain plates.
