Avalynn’s whole body literally trembled as she heard Lisa’s voice over the phone.
She tried as much as she could to make sure she kept her cool and also avoid the fear and anxiety threatening to take over her but she couldn't stop the phone from shaking as she held it to her ears.
She tried to swallow the lump in her throat, gathering the courage to speak. She knew her friend would definitely scold but she has to come out clean to her if she really wanted help.
“Lisa, I..I need your help,” her voice came out a whisper, barely audible. “I’m in deep mess.. and for reals,.. for reals, I don't know what to do, at all." She said, trying to slow her racing pulse.
"Hey, Ava, calm down." Lisa's tone was comforting. "Now tell me, what's going on?"
