The Fight Back

1340 Words
The next morning, Emma arrived at Darius Entertainment’s private studio, where a select group of top designers and photographers had been invited. She stepped out of the car, dressed in a sleek, form-fitting ensemble that radiated confidence. Bryce walked beside her, holding a tablet. “Everything is set. The industry’s top names will be watching this shoot closely.” Emma smirked. “Good.” As she entered the studio, whispers spread. “Emma Claire is really making a comeback.” “She looks even better than before.” “Do you think she will get Bella Amore?” Emma ignored the murmurs and walked straight to the set. The photographer, a well-known industry legend, greeted her with a wide grin. “Emma, it has been a long time,” he said, adjusting his camera. “Let’s remind them why you are unforgettable.” Emma smiled. “Let’s.” As the shoot began, every movement, every pose, every flash of the camera reminded the industry of the model she once was. And the one she was becoming again. Sophia sat across from Howard Taylor in the private lounge of Bella Amore’s headquarters. She had dressed carefully, choosing an outfit that screamed power and sophistication. Howard sipped his coffee, his expression unreadable. “Sophia, I assume you know why I agreed to meet with you.” Sophia smiled confidently. “Because I am the best choice for Bella Amore.” Howard leaned back. “You were the best choice.” Sophia’s smile faltered slightly. “And I still am. This scandal will pass, and my image will remain strong.” Howard studied her. “Emma Claire’s return changes things.” Sophia’s fingers tightened around her cup. “Emma is just a distraction. She has not been in the industry for years.” Howard exhaled. “And yet, she is all anyone is talking about.” Sophia forced herself to remain composed. “Because of Aiden Brooks. Without him, she is nothing.” Howard tilted his head. “You sound worried.” Sophia straightened. “I am confident.” Howard nodded slowly. “I will make my decision soon.” Sophia’s stomach twisted. That was not the reassurance she wanted. As she left the meeting, she pulled out her phone and called Eden. “Find out what Emma is doing today,” she ordered. Eden’s voice was hesitant. “She is in the middle of an exclusive shoot with Darius Entertainment.” Sophia stopped in her tracks. “What?” Eden sighed. “She is reminding the industry why they once called her the best.” Sophia’s hand tightened around her phone. Emma Claire was not backing down. And now, the real fight had begun. That evening, Emma stood in front of the large window in Aiden’s office, her phone buzzing with updates. Isabel’s message appeared. “Howard Taylor is reconsidering. Your shoot today turned heads. You have a real shot at Bella Amore.” Emma smiled to herself. Aiden walked in, setting a glass of wine on the table. “I take it your plan worked?” Emma turned to him, her eyes gleaming. “Sophia is panicking.” Aiden smirked. “Good.” Emma picked up the glass and took a slow sip. “Now, we wait for Howard Taylor to make his decision.” Aiden watched her closely. “And if he chooses Sophia?” Emma placed the glass down. “Then I make him regret it.” Aiden chuckled. “I look forward to seeing that.” Emma met his gaze. “Then stay close, Aiden. Things are about to get even more interesting.” Aiden’s lips curled. “I never planned on going anywhere.” As the city lights sparkled outside, Emma knew one thing for certain. She was not just fighting for revenge anymore. She was fighting to reclaim her throne. And she was going to win. “You need to see this.” Isabel’s voice came through the phone, urgency laced in every word. Emma, sitting in Aiden’s office with a glass of wine in her hand, narrowed her eyes. “What happened?” “Howard Taylor just made a move,” Isabel said. “He announced that Bella Amore will officially reveal their next brand ambassador in three days.” Emma smirked. “That means he has already made his choice.” “Exactly,” Isabel confirmed. “But here is the interesting part—he is keeping the name a secret until the press event.” Emma leaned back against the couch, twirling the stem of her glass between her fingers. “That is a strategic move. He wants maximum attention.” “Which means if he picks you, it will shake the industry,” Isabel added. Emma exhaled slowly. “And if he picks Sophia, he thinks it will stabilize her reputation.” “Either way, the industry is on edge,” Isabel said. “Models are already talking. Some are nervous about you taking back your spot. Others are waiting to see if Sophia can hold onto hers.” Emma’s gaze flickered toward Aiden, who was sitting at his desk, seemingly unbothered by the chaos. His dark eyes lifted slightly, meeting hers with quiet amusement. “You are making waves, Emma,” Isabel continued. “But so is Sophia. She just posted a cryptic message on her social media—something about being ‘unstoppable.’” Emma chuckled. “Desperation looks good on her.” “Be careful,” Isabel warned. “If she thinks she is losing, she might try something reckless.” Emma’s smirk deepened. “Then let her.” She ended the call and placed her phone on the table. Aiden studied her for a moment before speaking. “Are you ready?” Emma arched a brow. “For what?” “For whatever happens next,” Aiden said smoothly. “Because if Howard Taylor picks you, Sophia will not go down quietly.” Emma’s lips curled into a knowing smile. “I am counting on that.” Aiden leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk. “What if he chooses her?” Emma took a slow sip of her wine before placing the glass down. “Then I will make sure she regrets it.” Aiden smirked. “I do like your confidence.” Emma stood and walked over to him, placing her hands on the edge of his desk. “And you like watching me win.” Aiden tilted his head slightly. “You are not wrong.” Emma chuckled. “Then keep watching, Aiden. The show is just getting started.” Across the city, Sophia threw her phone onto the couch, her frustration barely contained. Eden stood near the window, checking updates on his tablet. “The press event is set. Howard Taylor is keeping the suspense high.” Sophia clenched her jaw. “He would not have agreed to meet with me if he was not considering me.” Eden adjusted his glasses. “That does not mean you are his final choice.” Sophia turned sharply. “Who else would it be? Emma has not worked in years. She is only relevant because of Aiden Brooks.” Eden hesitated before speaking. “You might not want to underestimate her.” Sophia’s hands curled into fists. “I built my career while she was hiding. This industry is mine.” Eden sighed. “Howard Taylor is a businessman. He will choose whoever benefits Bella Amore more.” Sophia straightened. “Then we remind him why I am the right choice.” Eden frowned. “What are you thinking?” Sophia smirked. “A scandal could work in our favor.” Eden’s eyes widened slightly. “That is risky.” Sophia’s expression hardened. “So is losing.” Eden hesitated but then nodded. “I will make the arrangements.” Sophia exhaled slowly, a confident gleam in her eyes. “Let’s make sure Emma does not make it to that press event at all.”
