Chapter VII

-Malachi’s POV-

I did not have the heart to reject her. I have been waiting for my mate my whole life, my one and only. I already imagined us having a life together, someone to wake up to and to run to, someone who will bear my pups and be my wife, a luna and a leader along my side for the pack. Why did she have to be human? I cannot have a weak Luna considering my pack is the most powerful one in this continent, we cannot bear to have rumours going around my pack having a weak human as their luna, but, I can’t look at those beautiful chocolate eyes knowing what she will feel after I say those words. For now I just have to ease her into the rejection, and I have to find a replacement.

I decided to befriend her at least not wanting my fated to be away from me. I know I said I had to find someone to replace her but I cannot deny the mate pull. After the encounter with kyle and a girl he was with, we decided to stop and go our own ways into the party. My wolf was whining from the moment we separated. ‘go back to mate’ my wolf, Cayden, whines in my head. ‘I can’t and you know why’

‘I don’t care what mate is. Mate is mate.’

‘I can’t risk it Cayden, we were just assigned as alpha a year ago’

‘exactly why we need mate, she’s will make us stronger’

‘Cayden no.’

‘yes. Mate yes. Go back to mate now’

I found myself blocking him off as he just keeps whining in my head and it’s giving me a headache, it’s not helping form the one I got because of the alcohol. Dang miles did up his game this time, might as well visit that chad.

I was on my way to the rooftop where the bar and miles is, when I smelt the most intoxicating smell ever, my wolf kept yelping in my head and heaving clearly turned on by the smell, not gonna lie, me too. I followed the smell and as closer I got, I realized what it was- my mate was aroused. Having that realization I instantly felt my pants tighten. I followed it to the rooftop where the scent was the strongest and what I saw made my vision go red.

Evan and my mate were making out in the middle of the dance floor, an deep growl came out of me attracting all the attention to my now furious face and my stance ready to pounce. The crowd clear its way to where I was looking directly at now the two shocked looking beings before me, I started to stomp myself towards their direction when my mate fell to the ground. It only made me run to her and catch her in my arms. I shook her and checked for pulse releasing the breath I have been holding the moment she passed out. “It might be from the alcohol she has been getting from miles” Evan said. I growled and turn his direction “you knew she was drunk and was taking advantage of her state?!” he glared at me “and who are you to tell me what to do man, you just met her and we’ve known each other for years in the US”

“SHE’S MY MATE YOU PIECE OF s**t, AND IF I CATCH YOU TOUCHING HER OR EVEN LOOKING AT HER I’M GONNA HAVE YOUR HEAD ON MY WALL” me and my wolf roared with our alpha voice causing him and around him to whimper in submission.

The whole crowd gasped. Well f**k. That’s one way to ruin the plan I had just thought about. Evan mumbled something but I cared too little to care, I lifted my mate in my arms and went through the crowd to bring her to the pack doctor. I mind linked the head pack doctor that I will be coming and she told me that she was in the middle of stitching someone up and someone will meet us at the entrance.

When I arrived one of the pack doctors was already at the entrance a hospital bed already prepared. I laid my mate on the bed and filled the doctor on what had happened. “I think she had too much alcohol, but can you please check if there will be complications? Since I don’t know if the alcohol miles gave her was for the wolves which is much stronger than the human ones, considering some has wolfsbane in them.”

“yes alpha, but I need you to leave the room so we can get a thorough check on her”

I nodded. As much as I want to be in the same room with my mate while someone is laying their hands on her, I want her to recover quickly. I saw the head pack doctor come towards me, her bowing while greeting me “alpha, I already got a mind link from your bet on what happened and no need to worry, I also mind linked miles and know that the alcohol she was drinking only consisted of human alcohol so she only needs rest, congratulations for finding your mate.”

I sighed “I would say thank you if it wasn’t complicated” I rubbed my face in frustration now that the whole pack knows I found my mate and that she is human

“I know I am in no place to tell you what to do, but I suggest on giving her a chance, I just feel like she’s different from all humans” the head pack doctor told me and headed inside to tend to my mate.

Thinking my mind off, I heard running that was going towards my location I was on full alert only to see my sisters that were identical twins running at me full speed. “WHERE IS SHEEEE???” they screeched as they got close to me jumping like frogs. “she’s passed out drunk, she’s in this room” they attempted to go inside but I caught them before they do by their ponytails. “hey!” they screamed as they got dragged away from the door “let her rest, she drank a lot so I doubt your pestering will help or wake her up”

“fine, but tell us what she looks like” Emma, the older twin asked. “well, she’s… gorgeous.”

“eeeeeekkk! I really want to meet her now” Emily the younger one screeched. They are identical and are both 16 with different colored hair because of their addiction to those animated cartoons in japan. Said they will have a mate from japan that will look like the anime characters they watch. Even their addictions are mostly alike, but their attitudes different. Emma being a little more mature and loves working out, she is currently the top of her bath in training. As for Emily it is only understandable she’s less mature but loves studying and reading books, but also not far from the rankings in training being 3rd. Although it seems like they might be competitive with each other, they are always on full support with each other. Emily is supportive for Emma being top in trainings and Emma being supportive of Emily being top of her class.

“Tomorrow, for now both of you should be in bed, why are you both even awake this time? Plus I should think about how to break this to mom and dad when they wake-up” I sat back down on the chair outside the room my mate is in.

“Malachi, stop treating us like babies we can stay up for as long as we want, plus we were streaming the new season of attack on titans” Emily pouted at me. “Hey I can’t help it, in my eyes you both are still babies that IA used to help walk” I said standing back up messing both of their hairs up. “Hey! Plus you do need to plan on that explanation; I can smell the human in her from here even with all the alcohol smell mixed in the air.” Emma said fixing her hair. “well, we’re going to go totally to sleep, good luck brother “oh by the way, her name is Zelenia” I said as they giggled on their way out.
