meeting the dragon king

543 Words
As Shuan was led into the palace, she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the grandeur of the buildings. The high ceilings, the intricate carvings, and the expensive-looking tapestries all seemed to whisper to her of the power and wealth of the king. But Shuan's wonder was short-lived, as she was quickly brought back to reality by the rough grip of the guard's hand on her arm. She was dragged through the winding corridors, past rows of stern-looking guards and bowing courtiers. Finally, they arrived at the throne room, where the king sat in all his glory. Shuan's eyes widened as she took in the sight of the king, resplendent in his ornate robes and glittering jewels. He sat majestically on his throne, exuding an aura of power and wisdom. His chiseled features seemed carved by the gods themselves, with piercing eyes that shone like stars in the night sky. His raven-black hair was perfectly styled, framing his regal face with an air of sophistication. His broad shoulders and muscular physique were evident even under his elaborate robes, adorned with intricate patterns and glittering jewels that sparkled in the light. The king looked nothing like what he was rumored to be, infact he looked sad and lonely. He looked like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. As Shuan looked at him she felt this pain in her heart, she was overwhelmed with so much sadness that she didn't realize when she started sobbing.. " what's wrong with me, she said to herself as she held her chest" The guards quickly pushed her head down. " How dare you make eye contact with the king!" The guard shouted as he held her head down. According to the tradition no one is supposed to look the king straight in the eyes, only those who worked in the king's court had the opportunity to know what the king looked like . Any other person will have to bow their head when they are in the king's presence. As Shuan was there, her head forced down by the guard's rough hand, she couldn't shake off the image of the king's face from her mind. She had never seen anyone so majestic, yet so sad and lonely. The contrast between his regal appearance and the deep sorrow in his eyes had struck a chord within her. The king's expression remained stoic, but Shuan could sense a flicker of surprise, even curiosity, in his eyes. The guard, oblivious to the silent exchange between Shuan and the king, continued to hold her head down. "You will pay for your disrespect," he growled, his voice dripping with malice. But Shuan didn't care. She had caught a glimpse of the king's true self, and it had left her breathless. She felt an inexplicable connection to him, a sense of understanding that went beyond words. She didn't know why she connect to the king, but she felt like it was her destiny. As she was in front of the king , her head bowed in submission, Shuan knew that her life was about to change forever. The king's piercing gaze had awakened something within her, and she could feel the stirrings of a revolution in her heart.
