That evening, Isabel, Lady Conway—better known simply as Bel—let out an ear-piercing squeal the moment she walked into Cynthia’s drawing room. Running up to Cassie and giving her a big hug, she said, “I can’t believe you’re finally here! We are going to have the best season! I can’t wait to introduce you to everybody and, oh, my goodness, I will introduce you to every eligible man I know. Now granted, that’s not a lot, but we’ll find more. I promise. We are going to have so much fun and—”
“My goodness! Take a breath, Bel!” Cassie laughed, interrupting her good friend.
Bel just giggled.
“Yes, friends, this is the esteemed Viscountess Conway,” Lord Conway said, looking lovingly at his new wife. He turned back to Cassie. “Miss Benton, it is wonderful to see you again.”
