The next morning arrived far too early. At least, that was Evelyn's opinion. She'd spent half the night staring at the ceiling. The other half staring at the wall. And a concerning amount of time staring at absolutely nothing while thinking about Connor. Which was ridiculous. She barely knew him. They'd exchanged introductions. A handshake. Approximately five minutes of conversation. That was hardly enough to justify the complete inability to stop thinking about him. Unfortunately, her wolf disagreed. Entirely. By the time breakfast ended, Evelyn found herself wandering through Cedar Ridge's territory with no particular destination in mind. At least, that's what she told herself. The fact that her feet kept carrying her toward the training grounds was obviously a coincidence
