Chapter 6

Camilla's POV A wry smile made its way to my lips as the call went dead. Even after the phone in my hand had signaled that the call had already ended, I just couldn't stop staring at it. When I had thought of all of this, the only thing that threatened to hold me back was fear. The fear of messing it all up and failing, and even ratting myself out to Valentina too. The chances that everything would go wrong we're high, but I pushed it aside, and focused on what really mattered, and just when I was beginning to lose hope, everything turned around in my favor. My smile widened into a full blown grin. Call me crazy or whatever, but the feeling of watching your plan blooming beautifully couldn't be compared to anything else. And the fact that it did so without any hiccups, made it all the more better. “Is it done yet?” A masculine voice called from the distance. It was dark, pitch black, but it didn't stop me from recognizing whom the voice belonged to. It was one I couldn't forget, no matter how hard I tried to, and honestly, I wasn't exactly complaining. “Tell me it's done.” “What do you think?” I smirked. There was nothing but a single bulb in the room, and it's harsh rays fell over me, further highlighting the grin on my face. “Is that how little your faith in me is?” “That's not what I asked you.” He growled. The sound of footsteps approaching reached my ears, and all it took was a couple of strides for him to reach the light. “Did you do it or not?” “Relax.” I rolled my eyes. “Did you think it was too much of a task for me to achieve?” “Stop beating about the bush and answer me.” He hissed, but it did nothing to faze me. “Don't make me repeat myself.” “Fine.” I let out with a pout. “I just got off the phone with her and everything is going as planned. She'll be arriving soon.” “Did Valentina really say that?” His eyes lit up. “Did she really say she's coming?” “Yes, Felix.” Sometimes Felix's admiration for my best friend really irked me to the bones. “She said she'd set up a date once she gets home.” “I knew you were going to get the job done.” Felix smiled, and I wasted no time in mirroring his expression. He was right. I was definitely the right person for the job, even though the job in question was to deliberately lure my best friend over here. Valentina was unsuspecting, but I couldn't care less about that. She could have figured this out if she paid attention to details and was a little bit weary around me, but she wasn't and that made it all the more enjoyable. That and the fact that…. “Here.” Felix's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I brought myself back to the present, just to come face to face with a huge bag in his hand. He tilted the bag in my direction, an indication that I took it, and I did. I wasn't expecting anything when I took the bag from Felix, but the moment my eyes raked over the content of the bag, they widened immediately. “Consider it as a token for all the trouble you went through.” I stared at the wad of cash stacked against each other inside the bag. There had to be hundreds or thousands of dollars in there if I wasn't mistaken. “Oh no, felix.” I smiled, before dropping the bag to the side. “This isn't necessary. I understand you want to thank me, but I have a preferred method. All you have to do is ask.” Felix raised an eyebrow, slight confusion making its way into his eyes, so I continued. “This is the right way to thank me.” I sauntered towards him, making sure to take slow and calculated steps. There wasn't much of a distance between us, but I made sure to sway my hips and angle my body so seductively. Felix's eyes were quick to settle on my boobs, and I smiled at my mini triumph. I stopped in front of him, and allowed my fingers play with the button on his shirt. As I did that, I made sure to trail every inch and cranny of his skin I could find underneath his shirt. “I did all of that to make you happy, dear.” I brought my voice down to a whisper. I trailed my finger down the side of his boxer briefs. “And you can make me happy too you know….” “I don't think that's necessary.” Felix was quick to cut me off. Like that wasn't embarrassing enough, he took a step back, a wave of disgust written all over his face. “We've had our fair share of steamy nights, Camilla, but I doubt I want a repeat of that right now.” What? I couldn't believe my ears. Did Felix just say what I thought he did? Felix and I had been intimate more than once and we went at it at any opportunity he got. He never failed to tell me how much he enjoyed it, and now he had the guts to say this? “You think you're smart aren't you?” I hissed. “You probably think that you're the wisest of all, how pathetic!” “You don't have to be so scorned, Camilla.” Felix smiled only infuriated me the more. “We've had our moments, but I just don't want you.” “The same way Valentina doesn't want you too!” Only when the words had slipped past my mouth did I realize what I'd just said. It was too late to take it back, but did I regret it? Not one bit. “She's literally cheating on you right now!” “What?” Felix fumed. His eyes blazed a burning red, and that was all I needed to know he was mad. “What the hell did you just say?” “You heard me, Felix.” It was my turn to smile now. “While you're here dilly dallying, your beloved Valentina is having fun with another man. If this isn't a sign that she wants nothing to do with you, then I have no idea what Is.” “How dare she!” Felix growled, before knocking down a vase that stood on a nearby table. A loud crash fell to the ground as the ceramic piece scattered against the cold tiles. “How dare she do that to me?” I said nothing. I didn't need to say anything because at this point, Felix's anger was more than enough for me. “She'll pay.” He let out in a low growl. His voice was icy, that it sent literal shivers down my spine. “both her and her family, they'll all pay. Starting from now, I'm severing all business deals between my family and theirs.” An evil grin made its way to my face at his declaration. This was the best news ever and I was definitely looking forward to seeing how things were going to play out.
