Tristan's POV I got down from the cab the moment it pulled up in front of Valentina's apartment. Unlike earlier this morning, it was actually a walk in the park finding a vehicle that would bring me back here. The wrought iron gates was the first thing that caught my eyes, followed by the empty compound that lay in front of me. A tiny part of me had hoped that somehow, Valentina would be back by now. I had thought that, perhaps, forcing her out of the house, was her father and uncle's twisted way of surprising her. Maybe they wanted to take her shopping, or wanted to get her to eat lunch with them. But as I caught a glimpse of the time on my wrist watch, I just knew it wasn't a prank.
