Chapter 1

913 Words
Kai’s POV: “Kai, please believe me. I-I didn’t mean to..He seduced me !” Winter sob’s from the other side making me frown. “You were all over him, and you dare say he seduced him? Even though he did try, you looked more than willing to be seduced.” I say, my voice as cold as always. I remember the photo Mark showed me a few minutes ago where she was sitting on Hayden’s lap naked and smiling at him. It was no secret what they did to be naked. I scoff mockingly as Hayden’s arrogant face, when he was holding her, flashes through my mind. “No, it’s definitely not like that. You are misunderstanding me, Kai. Don’t you trust me? I love you .” Winter says her voice is loud and almost broken from how hard she is crying, pretending to be the victim. But I can hear the accusation in her voice clearly. And it fills me with nothing but annoyance. What a pretentious b***h. How come I didn’t notice she is this good at acting before? “You can give all your love to the one who seduced you because we are over.” I grit through clenched teeth and hang up the phone without another word. Immediately, the music blasting from inside the huge Victorian-style mansion reaches my ear. The mansion is brightly lit from inside and people are everywhere getting wasted. “Finally got rid of that b***h, huh?” George asks, handing me a drink that I accept without hesitation. We are sitting on the poolside sofa as there are fewer people here. Even though Liam is the one throwing this party, he doesn’t seem concerned at all as he looks around with a drink in hand, like he is watching a bunch of clones. “I don’t touch dirty things.” I say coldly, not bothering to hide my disgust. Liam snickers and bumps my shoulder playfully. “Come on, you and Winter dated for three years. You don’t feel sad at all that she cheated?” Am I supposed to feel sad for her? I guess any normal person would. I however don’t, not to mention it was only a physical relationship. I wasn’t with her because I had feelings for her or something. “Mm... maybe? She was a good fuck.” I say, and Liam bursts out laughing, throwing his head back. “What? You guys know it was the only reason I was with her.” I say, blinking at Liam without much reaction. “She cheated before. Wait, let me rephrase that. She always cheated on you. You know that . So why does it matter now?” Gorge asks, tilting his head to the side with a curious gaze. A bitter feeling rises in my chest, and I find my stomach twisting from anger and disgust. I put the drink down with a thud and get up, walking inside without a word. “Aww, man! You ruined the mood. Now he is all grumpy.” I hear Liam say to Gorge. A heavy feeling sits on my chest as I make my way inside, pushing through the sea of people. She cheated before. Yes, but it never mattered. Because she didn’t matter. But how dare that bastard seduce her? He clearly seduced her to get to me. To show me how easily he can snatch whatever he wants from me. Including my girlfriend of three years. Did we love each other? No, but we were a couple to everyone, a perfect couple despite her cheating every now and then. And Hayden showed everyone that he not only had flirted with my girlfriend but also slept with her. He shared those photos in every group, making sure that I know what a defeat feels like. I reach the bar and ask for the strongest drink. As I gulp down the drink, the strong taste of defeat makes my mouth bitter. Fucking bastard is so going to regret this. “Hey there, in a bad mood?” A slender hand touches my chest and makes its way up to my shoulder. The strong smell of perfume hits me before I even see the person wearing it. I shake my head a little as my head spins for a moment from how strong that perfume actually is. What kind of shitty perfume is this now? And who even wears this much? A head pops out from behind me, and I frown seeing a girl dressed in a black crop top, black shorts with fishnet stockings. Her hair is short and almost reaches her shoulders. There’s a smile on her face that she must think is charming. But it’s nothing but a fake smile. What surprises me is that her eyes seem oddly familiar to me. I stare at her for a second in daze because it’s been a while since I saw someone dressed like this. “Need some company? I am quite good at making someone’s mood good.” She says, and I frown, grabbing her hand that was going towards my face. Behind her, my eyes dart to a muscular figure with Silver hair dressed in black jeans and a leather jacket going to the second floor. I narrow my eyes when I see the tattoo on his neck peaking from underneath the jacket. The figure is impossible to mistake because it’s Hayden Davenport. My f*****g Nemesis.
