Chapter 1

Chaeyoung's Point of View

I woke up with nobody beside me. She probably went for work. I went to the bathroom to do my morning routine. We ended up ordering Thai food last night with a bottle of wine. We managed to escape the media and there were no rumors last night about us. I sighed and sipped on my milk while scrolling through my i********:.

Today is Saturday and I don't have work, I have no plans so maybe I'll just go shopping later. Lisa's probably gonna sleep on their set so I'll be alone this weekend enjoying my boring life. I rolled my eyes and decided to spent my day in my office.

Lili:

your best friend is a very great actress :P

I laughed at her message, she also sent a selfie on her high school uniform. We talked more and she asked me what's my plan today before she went for work again.

I put my phone on my clutch and pressed the buttons when I got to the elevator. I smiled on myself on the mirror. I wore a caramel blazer paired with trousers. I went out and the employees started greeting me 'good morning' as my stilettos make a sound. I just smiled at them.

"Morning dad," I greeted my Dad and kissed him on the cheeks.

"Morning, it's weekend why are you here?" He asked and kissed me too.

"I have nothing to do, Lisa's working." I said and slammed my body on the couch.

"Oh I see, your mom misses you two. Visit sometime." He said while busy signing some papers.

"Oh! I miss mom too, we'll visit soon." I said and ate a candy on the table beside me.

He wasn't able to reply when someone knocked on the door and it showed Alice.

"Dad! Surprise!" She shouted after opening the door wide open. "Oh! And my Roseanne!" She added when she saw me on the couch.

"Alice!" I shouted too and got up to hug her.

She totally surprised me! She was on a vacation in Australia for a month, and she didn't even say she was coming home. I smiled at her widely and kissed her on the cheeks. Dad did the same, he was also surprised and just laughed at my sister.

"Why didn't you tell me? I should've went to the airport for you." I said

"Yeah, yeah, you and your boring life." She said and rolled her eyes.

Okay! My life is super boring. I get it. Alice is very adventurous, she likes doing stuffs and she can't be contented staying in one place. She's four years older than me, and obviously she is spoiled, so am I, but her? She's the family's money eater. My parents is not complaining about it because all they want to do is spoil us, also Alice is a lawyer just like my father so she have her money on her own.

"Anyway! Let's have lunch my little sister, let me add some spice in your life." She said and touched my hair. "You wanna come, dad?"

"Oh no, no. Let's just meet at home, call your mom and let's have dinner later." He said while still busy going on with his papers.

"Okay! Come sissy, I have so many gossip." Alice said and fanned herself in excitement.

I rolled my eyes and stood up. We bid our goodbye to Dad and we went to the parking lot. We decided to take her car, maybe I'll just make my bodyguard pick it up. I fastened my seatbelt and fixed my long black hair.

"It was fun, you should've come!" She said and started to drive.

"Ugh, you would just pull me everywhere you go." I said and looked at the window.

I don't hate her, it's just we're really different, like really. She honestly cheers me up everytime, she makes me do fun stuffs. But I'm really contented with just sleeping my weekends away, and paperwork my way to life.

"Really? Or you just don't want to leave without Lisa?" She joked.

"What?" I laughed.

"I saw online that she's doing a drama, I also saw her posts and we chatted last time."

"Yeah, she's really busy." I said.

"Hay, you two are really inseparable." She sighed.

I just laughed at her. Alice and Lisa are also close, we three have traveled together many times. But these months Lisa's been busy so Alice travels alone because I won't come alone with her. I will die!

Alice chose a fancy restaurant, did I mention that she's obsessed with steaks? People's eyes went to us as we walked. Alice also have a lot of followers on i********:, I don't know if they recognize her or it's just we naturally catch most people's attention all the time. Why do people around me are so famous? I rolled my eyes. We immediately ordered foods as soon as we got our seats and started eating.

Lili:

Did u eat already? I ate salad for lunch. Please eat too.

Lisa texted me. I don't know where she gets time to text me from time to time.

Chaeng

I'm eating steak with Alice rn.

I replied and took a sip on my wine before my phone ringed again.

"Is that Lisa?" She asked while slicing the meat.

"Mhm," I replied and picked up my phone.

Lili:

Really?! She's home?

I want to steak too t___t

Chaeng

Yups. She got you gifts.

Lili:

Ya! I want to rush there now! I missed Alice bugging us.

"Lisa said she misses your annoying ass." I said to Alice and laughed.

"I miss her bangs too." She also laughed.

Chaeng

She said she misses your bangs.

Lili:

Hahaha, imma go now! Take care!

Chaeng

Take care.

"Hey," Alice called me after putting my phone down. "I have something to tell you." She said and smiled widely.

I just raised my brow and got intrigued on what she's about to say. She showed me her right hand, on her finger there lays a ring. It's like an engagement ring! Is she engaged?! To whom?! My eyes and mouth widened while she just laughed at me. I pulled her hand and looked at it.

"What the hell?! Are you engaged?!" I exclaimed, still can't believe what's going on.

"No!" She laughed. "It's just a promise ring, the engagement ring goes to the left hand, but very soon." She said and winked.

I gave her an 'unbelievable' look.

"Who the f**k?" I said.

"Harith," she said on a low voice.

My face turned into a frown and threw her hands.

"What the f**k, Alice?" I said irritation is heard in my voice.

Harith was her ex-fiancé, and unfortunately is her boyfriend who broke their engagement last, last month. That's why she went to Australia to unwind, and now they f*****g got back together?

"Chill! He promised me! I'll wait til he's ready." She said and looked at the ring.

"Really Alice?" I said and rolled my eyes, arms now crossing on my chest.

"Really Roseanne, don't tell Mom and Dad yet. They will be mad." She said and pouted.

"Of course! Are you nuts?" I said, controlling my voice.

"He explained already, okay?" She said and broke into tears

I rolled my eyes and went to hug her. Why is she so stupid? I wonder how she passed the boards, or is she even a family by blood? Or she's just naturally stupid? I patted her shoulders. Ugh! I hate her! I hate Harith! What's his reasons huh? He f*****g ditch my sister on their own engagement party, like who the hell would do that? Then now he's getting her back? And this stupid girl beside me accepted him? My head is aching because of them. If I only knew this would happen, I should've came with her and stopped this bull.

"Shhh, fine. I won't tell Mom and Dad. But promise me that if he f**k this up, you're gonna stop running to him." I said and helped her wipe her tears.

She just gave me a nod and hugged me back, sniffing. I think I am the older sister here. Hay, Alice.

After the cryings, we talked more about her vacation. She told me about our childhood friends and how some places changed now. We haven't been there for almost two years. We finished our lunch almost two o'clock in the afternoon. We also went to drink boba milk tea near the restaurant and talked more.

"Can you drive, I'm sleepy." Alice said and threw the key to me.

I catched it and went to the driver's seat. I drove to her condo.

"Please pick my car up, I'll be at Alice's condo, yeah. Thank you" I said and dropped the call when the lights turned green. 

I stepped on the gas and after few minutes we arrived on their building's parking lot. Alice is already sleeping on her seat. I woke her up and pushed buttons on the lift.

"Can I borrow a dress?" I said when we reached her condo. It's a mess, her laguages are everywhere. "You got a pool of clothes here, huh." I said and looked at the whole place.

"Sure, the clean ones are on my closet." She said and slammed herself on her white couch while removing her accessories and stilettos.

I shooked my head and went to her walk in closet. I picked the white floral coordinates, it is a puff sleeves cropped top and a garterized skirt. It fitted me perfectly. I retouched my make up and snatched some accessories from her drawer. I also brushed my hair quickly and grabbed my clutch.

"Hey, I'm going now." I said and she just hummed.

She's now in her satin pajamas. I kissed her on the cheek and went out. I saw my bodyguard standing beside my maroon car. He bowed to me and gave the key, I just smiled and went inside. I changed into my beige ankle strap heels and fastened my seatbelt.

I have so many things to tell to you! Alice is stressing me out! See you when you come home.

I texted Lisa before stepping onto the gas. Winter's coming soon, I'm planning to buy winter clothes and I'm also gonna restock our pantry. The people coming to the mall are kinda a lot because it's weekend, but I think its bearable. I parked my car and went inside. And again, the people's eyes went to me. I removed my ponytail to slightly hide my face, it makes me feel so shy!

I went to different boutiques and bought clothes for me and some for Lisa. I got us a matching hoodie and sweatpants, it was gray with a heart embroided on the right top.

"Good afternoon, ma'am." The saleslady greeted me when I entered a home appliances shop.

"Good afternoon," I greeted her back.

Mom called last time and said that her stand mixer in home broke. She loves baking and has a café and bakery branches in the city. I ordered her one, because we're gonna have dinner later, I asked it to be delivered later at home and went to the grocery.

My bodyguard is just tailing me and holding the things I bought. I bought some vegetables and ingredients for some dishes, different kinds of chips and snacks. I walked and pushed my cart through the beverage area.

"Oh, my God! Lisa looks so beautiful in that scene!" I heard a girl squealed.

My head shifted to their side and chuckled. I don't mean to listen to their conversation, their voices are too loud that people could still hear them from the other side of the earth. They're around 14 years old and pretty.

"I know right? I love the scene where she smiled to Sung Hee."  The other girl said and looked at her friend's phone.

"I'd die to be like her, she's so pretty and very kind too." The first girl said and pouted. "A friend of mine said she saw her at their school where they shoot."

"Really?! I want to transfer school now!" The other one said.

"Me too! I'm so jealous!" The other girl second the motion.

I just chuckled and walked pass them. I dropped drinks on my cart, got some sweets and payed to the cashier. My bodyguard went home with my stuffs, I gave him cash for his dinner although I know that Dad gives them allowance for that, I made him carry so many things earlier and I kinda felt guilty. He dropped me to the restaurant where me and Lisa ate last time. Alice said that she wants to drive me to the house.

I went out of the car and fixed my clothes. I brushed my hair using my fingers and licked my lips. It's now windy, the lights on the shops are on to fight the darkness of the night.

stress giver:

Roseanne! I'm so! so! sorry! I'm on my way!....

I read Alice's text just right now. I sighed and rolled my eyes, I knew it! I sat on the wood bench outside the restaurant.

stress giver:

....to the elevator >3

She added, that made my head shook.

Lili:

Hey, beautiful.

My eyebrows furrowed at Lisa's text. Her dinner break is at 8PM it's only 6:30PM.

Chaeng

What? Work your a*s out and transfer money to my bank account, I don't feed you for free.

I replied jokingly. I waited for her reply but she didn't.

Bank Manager:

Lalisa Manoban just transferred Five Million Won (₩5,000,000) to your back account. [Park Chaeyoung]

I laughed at the Bank's text.

Chaeng

I was just joking.

I texted her. Instead of replying, her Caller I.D. flashed through my screen.

"What?" I answered the call.

"Look at your left pretty girl." She said.

My forehead crumpled with what she said. She's tripping again. I did not looked at my left instead I rolled my eyes and crossed my legs.

"Whoa?! Really, look at your left Chaeng!" She insisted. "You just rolled your eyes and crossed your legs a seconds ago."

"What the?" I said and looked at my left.

Inside the restaurant, this girl is standing beside the glass walls and waved at me like a kid.
