"Please keep her out of this, she is not ready for any of it,we could leave her here in the castle, I'm sure he wouldn't mind." laurel said sitting on the edge of the bed as she flexed her fingers. "Don't worry your self, I'm sure he wouldn't choose her."he said not taking his eyes off his parchment. "How can you be so sure?" she said and he finally looked at her, good lords!,she looked so worried. He stood from his study chair and walked towards her ,then he squat in front of her taking hold of her hands he placed a kiss on the palm of her hands. "I need you to trust me, leave this to me , can you do that?" he asked to have her nod. "Good, now sleep." he said as he helped her lay on the bed. "But what if-," "No buts , now sleep."he said as he placed a kiss on her forehead. "Talk to them."she whispered. "I will."he said tucking her in. "Good night." "Good night."  Beatrice stood from the bed slowly and quietly , careful not to wake her sisters, she walked towards the door taking her cloak from the stand, she donned it on and covered her face and hair with it's hood and left the room. Taking a lantern on her way down, she walked down the corridors and hallways hiding at every sight of guards on night watch, then she went deeper into the woodlet and there she saw him waiting for her, she wondered for how long. She looked around once more making sure she wasn't being followed before she approached him. "Good evening, milady."he said offering her a bow. He was a young man in around his mid thirties with curly rich brown hair that fell before his face as he bowed. Well Trice was having none of that and as soon as he stood she hugged him as she broke into sobs,he slipped one hand around her waist while the other patted her back to soothe her nerves and when she finally quietened he asked, "What troubles your heart, milady?" She pulled away to take a good look at him, seriously what was the need to marry some prince , general or noble when she had her own prince standing right in front of her, he might be a gardener but he tended her heart just as much as he did to the flowers and even more,he always listened to her and she had grown so fond of him to the point that she couldn't even begin to imagine life without him. She could still remember the first time they met as clear as day, the other gardener had passed away and she had come here for a stroll, it wasn't often she visited the garden but she just felt like it.  It was a bright day,Tina had gone to see a friend while Thrianna was somewhere around the corner getting into trouble as usual. She had walked through a path as she inhaled the precious scent of the environment stopping occasionally to bend and smell a particular set of flowers and even pluck some others she felt were too beautiful until she spotted a pretty pink rose in a lot of white roses and just as she made to pluck it someone spoke from behind the bushes. "You should be careful, it has - ," "Ouch."she muttered as it's thorn pricked her delicate fingers. "- thorns,"he completed. "too late."he muttered as he pulled on his gardening gloves , slipping it through his fingers he dropped it on the ground and stood as he walked towards her. "May I?" he said taking hold of her hand as he inspected it to discover a tiny splinter stuck in her finger,he bent placing his lips on her finger as her eyes widened, she felt her breath hitch and colour rose to her neck at his gesture, his breath landed on her palm and she had to fight the urge to pull her hand away, then he sucked it out, she didn't even feel the slightest pain as her eyes were fixed on him all the while , then he looked up to meet her gaze and she caught sight of the most beautiful hazel eyes she had ever seen, and heat rose to her already hot cheeks. "Is that good?" he asked looking back at her hand in his grasp. "Huh, much better, thank you,"she said pulling her hand away immediately as she rubbed her hand gently. "who are you?" she asked. "Darion, the new gardener. " he answered. "and you must be the lord's daughter, I'm sorry for not noticing earlier, good day lady...?" "Beatrice."she answered and he bowed. She didn't know how it happened ,but her visits to the garden became frequent as she would always come to see him, she loved listening to him speak because he always had meaningful things to say and there was just the way he spoke - like a different accent from all the kinds she had heard that she found quite interesting to listen to and made her want to urge him to say more than necessary, she spent her free times with him as he taught her more about flowers and certain plants, those she could touch and those she shouldn't just in case she came in contact with any of them, times like that made her wonder how he knew so much as he could also read and write and not every peasant was privileged to that sort of education, and the day they shared a kiss-her first kiss, she felt her feelings for him deepen like never before and even the thought of marrying someone else would wreck her, she didn't know what to do, there was no way she could tell her father he would never approve of her union with a gardener, and she was so scared to tell her sisters she didn't know how they would react and if they would be able to keep her little secret, sometimes she would smile because she had finally found love but then it would be replaced with sadness with a realization that she might never be able to be with him for ever and out of the fear of being caught with him they resolved to meet during the night time.
