Good and bad

Wait, was that even possible?,she had bleed on the same foot, although there was no injuries on it,she could feel the pain, her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Come in."he said and she pulled her foot away from his hold,oh the scandal!,she thought.Rose placed a bowl of warm water on a stool next to the bed and handed him a towel and left immediately and he used it on her foot, dabbing very carefully till he was sure it was enough,it was very relaxing. "Thank you."she said not looking at him and he smirked. It didn't take long for Roman to come knocking on the door for yet another important issues, something about a letter from someone and she kinda felt disappointed at the fact that he was going to leave and then she wondered why she was being unreasonable,he was the king, not some regular man. As soon as he left the room ,she curled up in a ball and unleashed her wildest thoughts and soon enough fell fast asleep before she could stop herself. "We'll depart first thing on the morrow, get everything ready, we'll be leaving quite early."Ivor said as he walked side by side with Roman. "This issue is a little more complicated than you have originally predicted milord, lord Bergamot didn't write to you today, the letter was just delivered today,he would expect you today,he says that they are about to leave their borders and if they do,it wouldn't be pleasant,as the entire kingdoms would bear the brunt of it,it is something that has been managed for years,we wouldn't want the people finding out,it defiles everything they know,so I would suggest we go now."Ramon reasoned. " Everything that might be needed has been prepared,it wouldn't be a problem if we started moving,we would be back faster that way."Roman said again seeing that Ivor was hesitating, the carriage was prepared just as Roman had said and they got in,it was more likely that he would be through if he started now and with that, they left. "His Majesty wouldn't be joining you for dinner, milady."the butler, Richard said to her in a low tone as he bowed. Her heart unexpectedly sank at the news, she had been asleep through the better parts of the evening, she wondered what else he was doing now, and she didn't think he'd ever really skipped his night meals,ok maybe he had,but it wasn't as much as the mornings or afternoons. "Is he occupied with something?"she asked him and he went to her side of the table and poured her a glass of water. "He's out on an urgent matter."he said. "Ok."she said as she ate her food, she didn't ask anymore questions and after her meal, she went straight to bed,but then it was so hard to sleep, she didn't know if it was the cold or maybe cause she had slept so much during the day or probably something else, all she knew was that she just couldn't sleep, she'd wait till he was back, she concluded, warping the blanket properly around herself and staring at the ceiling. She was becoming painfully aware of him,a little more than usual and although she wasn't comfortable with the fact that she had to sleep with him,she had gotten used to it and it felt odd sleeping alone, she had never slept alone, she was always with Tina and Trice, and arriving at Nightfalls she had expected it to be different but it wasn't, just a little too close this time and she had also gotten used to that as well. "Hmmm."she hummed diverting her eyes from the ceiling to the door. "Where are you?" -------------------------------------------------------------^_^------------------------------------------------------------- Darion had shown her around, they had taken a horse to the places he felt were the most beautiful sceneries and he had promised to continue their tour day after day,it was a very peaceful and beautiful place but it wasn't hard to notice that she mostly wasn't welcome here, they gave her very hateful looks,it wasn't also hard to notice that through all the places they had been to,she was the only human here, and the fact that she wasn't accepted had something to do with her being human and she had finally met Otto, the fourth brother,a water mage,he was a bit rude in the beginning then he warmed up to her, finally smiling before he left to continue his work, but she just knew there was something she didn't know, then she remembered something she had asked him at the feast but didn't get the answer. "The m******e-"she said looking up at him as they walked hand in hand on a bridge with a beautiful river below. "-what happened during the m******e?" He asked as he looked at her in confusion for a while. "Is something wrong?"he asked and she waved her head. "I just really want to know,if it's not a problem." "Ok."he said as he stopped and placed his hands on the railings. "It was a time when they had ordered the exile of all witches found in the kingdoms, the mages were always a hidden race,we were always classified as witches, but we are different, and as they murdered the witches, they did the same to our kind , then we realized that we couldn't leave with the humans anymore, so we raised a veil between your world and mine to keep us safe, the humans feel threatened by things that they have no explanations to, and they are usually the cause of their own problems."he explained not going into how gruesome or ghastly the m******e had been,it hadn't been a pleasant sight back then and it wasn't a story he liked telling. She nodded her head in understanding and looked away from him,so now she had figured why they didn't like her,she was human and they lost their kind because of the m******e conducted by the humans, now she could only wonder what had brought up the m******e,yes she'd heard stories that witches were dangerous and she believed them, they were even in her bed time stories, but then she knew that there was always some good in the midst of the bad, just like there is also good in humans, there was good in her and she would just have to make sure they see it as well.
