"your majesty."she said with a bow, "to what do I owe this honourable visit?"she was a bit hunched but looked well like a beauty in her earlier years, she still had it now, just lesser, she also looked worried so Thrianna flashed her a comforting smile and she relaxed a bit.
"Do I need permission to visit-"
"We are here to see the children please."Thrianna answered knowing that he was about to speak very rudely to the poor lady,he looked at her from the corner of his eyes and she looked at him with a very sweet smile one that unsettled him for a moment.
Damned woman! ,he cursed under his breath and she smiled all the more.
"I am miss Dorly, the caretaker."she said introducing herself.
"Cathrianna."Thrianna said and the caretaker smiled at her,she seemed to have won the lady's heart , Ivor noted.
"This way milady, your majesty."
And she lead them further into the house, and they came into an open garden, the children were all playing different games but stopped at the sight of them, they seemed a bit scared and again she wondered why , until she noticed the sour expression on Ivor's face, she nudged him a little and he looked down at her.
"You'ld scare them with that look on your face."she whispered.
"Exactly the point."he muttered under his breath as they approached the children.
As time went on the little children warmed up to Thrianna, she was rather too nice to the kids, Ivor though as he leaned on a pillar with his hands dug in the pocket of his breeches,if only she was the same with him.
She turned to looked at him after a while and smiled, and his heart instantly felt too full, she was happy ,he wasn't such a bad person after all,he could make someone happy, she was seated on a stool , telling them stories with very interesting gestures, she looked so beautiful as she smiled and he would like to see her smile more often, after a while she stood up from her stool and they stood as well,at least she knew when it was time to leave, they seemed unhappy and she said something that made them cheer, she turned in his direction and walked towards him as the children dispersed.
He felt someone tug on the hem of his breeches and he looked down,it was a little girl , she looked four years old,he scowled at her but she smiled tugging on his trousers again so he crouched to speak to her.
"Scram."he said and she smiled even further as she wrapped herself around his leg.
"Arghh!,let go you little-"
"Angel darling let go,we have to go."Thrianna said as she squatted to be on her level, and caressed her face that rested on his leg but she waved her head slightly in disapproval as she made a faced that made her laugh,it sounded glorious, she had never laughed like that with him,he forgot momentarily about the girl wrapped around his leg.
She looked up at him.
"She seemed quite taken by you."Thrianna said as her eyes gleamed from the reflection of the light.
"Aren't they all?"he said with a smirk while she pried her little fingers away from his leg.
She looked up at him and rolled her eyes, she wasn't,was she?
"Run along."Thrianna said rubbing her hair and she left to play with her mates.
"I wish you could stay a little longer."miss Dorly said to Thrianna on their way out.
"I wish I could too,but we would have to be on our way."she said holding the ladies hand and squeezing it.
"Thank you for the visit."
"Thank you for having us."Thrianna said and with that, they were on their way.
She couldn't believe she had actually told the children that she would return ,she couldn't do that, she had plans of leaving and it would be earlier than anyone would think, he wouldn't even see it coming, she didn't want to raise suspicion onto herself so she had just decided not to make any unnecessary comments today, she had decided to enjoy herself, play with the children and be happy.
To night, she would take her chances tonight.
She couldn't live with someone she didn't love, she wouldn't, she would find love like Trice did and she would leave happily ever after, she had already told Mr Anton that she would like to take a ride on Maggie,it was late afternoon and it would be possible evening by the time they got back to the castle,it would just seem like she wanted to take a joyride, she didn't know if she would succeed but she would most definitely do it tonight.
Irvin helped Trice out of the carriage ,she almost tripped but he caught hold of her with both hands, she had been absent minded through out their time in the theater, Irvin was a cool tempered, kind hearted man but she couldn't quite envision her future with him , and he was quite good looking as well, with cinnamon brown hair and dark brown eyes,he wasn't of too much build but it suited him, maybe if she hadn't meet Darion , marrying Irvin wouldn't have been such a bad idea at least she wouldn't have her head in the clouds now,she wouldn't be thinking of someone she couldn't have, she had lost her appetite for both food and sleep, she felt so stressed out and all she needed was to know if Darion was okay, maybe a letter,he could have sent a letter or something,so that she would know where he was or how he was coping, would she ever see him again?,she knew that he had said that he would come back but when?,was it maybe when she was already married to someone else, someone like Irvin, she shouldn't have hoped on his word of return, now that she thought of it, it didn't seem like he could possibly come back to her,who would come back when all that was waiting for him was a trip to the dungeon?,the sooner she stopped thinking of him, the sooner she could move on with her life ,yes ,she loves him, but as it seems her love wasn't enough for the both of them ,she regained her composure,
"Thank you."she muttered and he smiled.
"If there's anything you need lady Beatrice, i'ld be at your service."he said while she nodded.
"I'ld be on my way."he said as he bowed and climbed back into the carriage as she stood there watching the carriage depart.
