Whether it was guilt or intuition, she wasn't sure. All she knew was that she really needed to check the guards by the gate. Her gut feeling had never been wrong. After she dressed for dinner, she wasn't even sure she wanted to uncover what secrets he held, how could he heal so quickly? She shook her head ,mentally reassuring herself that there was nothing to worry about,it was as crazy as having foresight, but first, she had to take a quick walk to the gates. Hopefully, this time, he wouldn't think she was planning an escape.
Getting to the gates, she found one,but not the other. He was different - they were different, it seemed like her dear lord wasn't taking anymore chances.
She approached the one she had seen yesterday. He seemed very cautious as she drew closer and when she stood before him with her hands drawn to her back and held his sword tighter, what had she done?
"I-I have come to ask your companion, can I know where he is?"she asked, not quite sure of herself. She didn't wish to cause anyone trouble,as if sensing her dismay. He loosened his grip on his sword, but he didn't stare at her, as it wasn't supposed of a royal guard to do so.
"I do not know Milady, perhaps he has been dismissed. The news of her escape must have gotten to everyone.
Dismissed?,a punishment was ok,but to have him dismissed was definitely too much.
"Did you see him leave?"she asked.
"No, milady."he said with a bow.
She exhaled as her hands rested on her waist, something didn't feel right to her. She looked back at the manor, she had to return and with that she smiled gracefully at him as she turned and left.
Richard drew. She was Cathrianna, she could never be scared.
"How was your training?"he asked, like he hadn't just stalked into the bathroom as she was having her bath.
"It went well."was her curt reply,no need to get into any conversations with him.
"Hmm."he nodded at her answer and they ate in silence.
"What did you do to him?"she asked suddenly. She had thought of several things that could have been done other than having him dismissed and it didn't just feel right,he could have learnt his lesson from being punished and his mate had said he didn't see him leave, so what was she to make of it?,so she decided to ask him to get herself cleared.
Ivor tilted his head to the side,"who?"he asked.
"The guard by the gate,"she said, and instantly took a deep breath to calm her mind. There was this look on his face at the mention of the guard. She didn't know if to be scared or to keep pressing on the matter.
"He's left."was his crisp reply and she knew he didn't want to say more, but she couldn't just resist the urge to ask.
"At what time of the day?"she asked, looking down at her plate and making sure to keep her composure unshaken.
"I don't know, why do you suddenly want to know that?"he asked, dropping his cutlery. He clearly didn't like her asking.
"I just thought I'd see him."she said, looking down at her food,"father would never have thrown him out."she whispered.
"He was asleep on duty, you could have escaped-not that you would have gotten far- but you expect me to sit back and watch that happen again?"he asked, his voice was rather calm for his words and it sent an unexpected shiver through her.
"He deserved much more."he said, cleaning his mouth with his table napkin, then he began folding it.
"I said that I wasn't going to leave again,"she muttered, dropping her cutlery.
"Yes, you wouldn't, cause I wouldn't let you,"he said as he stood and left the hall and she bit her lip. Why was he so angry at her?it was just a question, something was definitely not right.

Trice stood in front of the mirror, comparing what she was used to wearing and what she was currently putting on, a more comfortable version of the humongous gowns she was used to. It was a straight beige gown with fewer clothes underneath and a little bit of ruffles and, because of its really low back cut ,she was handed a shawl. She was handed a shawl of similar colour but darker, then her hair was let down to fall in a cascade of beautiful blonde curls.
He was a prince, prince!!. And all this while she'd thought he was a peasant, she had every right to be angry,he had kept such a huge secret from her,but she could understand that he did it all for a reason, but he was a prince!. They could get married, they could go back home and she would reintroduce him to her father. Oh!,how she'd dreamed of a day when everything would fall into place. He had four brothers and a sister. He was the third of the lot and. She was going to be introduced to them over dinner. She felt nervous, her palms were really wet and she had to rub them on her gown to keep it normal ,then she wore her white gloves and just outside the room. Darion was leaning on the wall with his hands crossed waiting for her, and as she stepped out he smiled looking her from head to toe, then he walked slowly over to her and took her gloves fingers in his.
"You look beautiful, Milady."he said as he bent over and kissed it and she smiled.
"Shall we?"he asked, giving his hand and she nodded, taking it as they walked hand in hand ,down the hallway, to the dinner hall.
Stepping in, it looked nothing like she'd speculated. She had expected a kind of rectangular or circular arrangement, with dishes lined up as people sat in a proper, quiet fashion and had their meal, but instead the room was huge , with people all around and a really long table at both sides of the room, decorated lavishly with grand meals and all what not, it seemed like they were having a feast, she wondered what was being celebrated to have, she also wondered why everyone was staring at her like she was crazy, she had a strange feeling about this.
