Hand in hand with Ronan, we make it through the portal home. The first person I see is Emerson running up to me. Not caring that I’m covered in blood.
“I missed you so freaking much!” She hugs me as I feel her tears against my cheek. I hold on for just an extra second.
“I missed you too.” I whisper. Then Ashe splits us apart as I laugh.
“You are not allowed anywhere without me from now on.” She threatens. “I missed you.” She hugs me even tighter as I stroke her hair. It calms her rapidly beating heart. Everyone thinks that Ashe is this tough chick with a heart of steel. She is actually a complete softy. But she never lets others see it. Except for me.
