The unknown dangers

Jameson and I head up to my father's office . It is sound proof so that what is discussed there will remain between the occupants of the room . Becca is upset to be pulled away from her new mate . I quicky apologize and explain that we have a few issues to deal with and I will quickly return him. As Jameson's right hand man and Beta we need Tuck to be a part of this meeting . " Look at you girl already acting like Luna of a pack , I am so proud of you Ray " Becca says as we quickly catch her up on the events . I shoot her an eye roll knowing good and well this is not the life I pictured for myself and I've only been mated to the alpha for a few hours . she giggles and we throw each other a quick I love you hand signal , it's been our thing for as long as I can remember.

In dad's office myself , Jameson and Tuck meet with Dad and his Beta Danny who is also my blood great uncle .

"Dad I am so sorry that I didn't listen to you , I know that what happened tonight with Rylan showing up was unacceptable." I hear the growl come from jameson the second I mention his name .

"Dearest daughter it seems we have much to discuss . The tip you gave me today about the vampires close to the territory was as you expected much more of interest then I initially believed . The men we sent to scope the boys neighborhood captured two Vampires keeping tabs on his home . It seems that they were recruited by an Alpha to use the boy against you . It seems as the Alpha aware of tonight's festivities was banking on using the stupid boy to keep you away from the ball in hopes that you would not find your mate and he could kidnap you for his own selfish purpose "

As soon as Jameson heard this he let out a roar of power that I have never seen used not even from my own dad . " who is this Alpha and where is this pack I will kill him and absorb his entire pack for even thinking such things of my mate . "

" Calm down son, we haven't gotten a name as the vamps we captured had little information , they gave us all they had before we beheaded them and burnt the bodies. Ray I want you to listen closely to what I am about to say , the vampires rarely make deals with wolves unless they benefit some how from the outcome , your great grandmother was part witch , that makes your blood the most powerful blood in the world of the super natural. You are the first daughter in my blood line to be born since your great grandmother . I fear that the vampires have more plans having to do with the human boy to get to you . You must avoid all contact with him at all cost . I am giving you my blessing to join your mate and become Luna of the blue moon lake pack . All prior bad blood between our packs are forgiven . I believe the goddess paired my daughter with the most ruthless and brutal alpha to keep her safe ."

" Dad I don't understand , I thought that witches had to be turnt to be mated to a wolf ? "

I hope that you can accept my apology and my blessing for my daughter's hand and we can move past the distrust my fore father's places upon our packs . "

"Alpha Richards , my original intention of coming to the blood moon pack this evening was to strike a treaty with you. I never intended to find such a lovely mate waiting on me to arrive . I find it appalling that any man would force himself in anyway upon a women . That being said, you nor I were alive when the events of our packs falling out occured . I will have it be known that any Alpha caught forcing himself on any women will be delt with . Without a second thought in regards to his life and I will absorb the pack of that Alpha . " Jameson I do wish to go to our home with you , but we need to have a pack meeting . It is not fair to take me home to protect me when my being there may put other pack members in danger . "

"well said Tuck. please send a mind link to the pack and tell them our plans to leave will be as soon as the sun rises . I don't want that vampire scum able to watch Ray's every move leaving during the sunrise hours and arriving home before dark are the best options right now . Becca is waiting on us to return her mate anxiously. Because Becca and Tuck are mated she was able to revive the packs mind link . Of course Becca being Becca she has a million and one things to ask once the meeting was finally over . Satisfied when I give her enough details , as she is not only my best friend but my Betas mate and she is trusted with this information . she agrees to take Tuck home to help her pack and promises to be ready to go first thing at sunrise .

I laugh in my head knowing that Rebecca Lynn has never been on time to one single event in her life .

Well Jamison says " would you like to pack your belongings and stay with me at your mom's pack house tonight or would you rather stay here ."

I will tell my mom to meet us in my room in a few minutes , it seems the party is winding down . She may even choose to stay in one of the guest rooms here to see us off in the morning , if that is okay with you. After the news we just heard I don't feel it's worth the risk of crossing out of one territory to go to my mom's . there's too much that could happen in-between , but how will you get your belongings ?
