Pack Meeting

Raven and I had lunch with the pack. My mother made sure to have the kitchen staff prepare a feast of steaks , burgers and any sides you can imagine. It takes a lot of food to sustain our kind . Werewolves metabolisms are faster then the average human . we need to eat about double of that it takes to sustain the average Joe. We stayed around for a few hours while the pack took time to introduce themselves to Raven .

Many of the young she-wolves were having a conversation with Raven asking her about her life as Daughter of two Alpha's when Kayla approached .

Great I thought to myself . Here we go. Kayla had been a short love interest of mine before I came of age and realized that she wasn't my mate . Ever since I Became the Alpha of this pack she has been trying to worm her way back into my heart and bed . She is the daughter of my father's Gamma . Although she is a beautiful young women , her power hungry ways and frankly my s**t don't stink attitude is what ultimately turned me away from her, before the fact that she wasn't my mate even came out . I could tell this wasn't going to be good .

Raven's Pov :

I was having an enjoyable afternoon. The food was delicious and the company of the pack was heart warming . I had already met many of the members and had short conversation with them . Becca and I were talking with a few of the She-wolves around our age . Some were exited about coming of age soon and hopefully finding their mate . Some were curious of how life was living between two packs and essentially being the daughter of two Alphas . That's when I seen her walking in look of rage and jealously hanging on her face . Kayla and her groupies had decided to approach the small group sitting with us at our table .

" So what did your dad do , trade you off as a peace treaty ?" she snarled , unaware that Jameson was close by witnessing the whole ordeal .

" Kayla, look I know you and Jameson have a past , as much as I hate that I can't control what happened before we were mated" , I replied trying my best to hold my anger and Ava back .

" We all know about your dad and his history with choose mates , there's no need for you to try and convince us that the moon goddess actually choose you for the Alpha "she replied.

"Listen I am trying my best to be civil with you , I do not want to have to assert dominance over you , Jameson is my fated mate , now I suggest that you learn to accept it and learn your place . Disrespect will not be tolerated , as for my father I will not deny his involvement in choosen mates, however he would never trade me off , especially to a pack he has had bad blood with for many decades . The treaty has nothing to do with my being mated to your Alpha . " I growl with warning .

" Kayla please stop this , Alpha Ellis would not be happy to hear you have been disrespectful to his mate " , one of the girls in her group beg her to let it go .

" If you know what is good for you Gamma , you will shut your mouth before my girl shows you what is up " , Becca snarls .

" Please this girl may have Alpha blood , but I highly doubt she has what it takes to compete with me , Luna Raven " she says in her most sarcastic tone , "ask your mate what it's like to have a real women , and not some teenager in his bed . "

That was it , Ava broke through as hard as I was trying to be civil with this trash , that comment pushed me to my breaking point .

I shifted right there .

Kayla followed suit and shifted as well .

I could hear the gasp of the pack once they realized how big Ava was. I am a small girl for being a wolf . Most She-wolves stand at least 5 foot 6 or more . But Ava is a large wolf with fur that matches my own brown hair. It's dark with a hint of red that makes her glisten in the light . She has white fur that reminds me of socks on all four paws. Kayla's wolf was large as well but she was smaller then Ava .

Ava let out a warning growl allowing Kayla's wolf one last chance to back off . However she advanced anyway . Ava is agile and she has speed that matches her strength , she steps out of the way before Kayla's wolf can land a blow . Kayla and her wolf were fighting blind with rage , I let her wind herself down stepping out of each blow she threw before it could strike me .Once she finally tired herself I counter attacked. One blow from Ava is all it took to throw Kayla into a submissive position Ava had Kayla's wolf's neck in her mouth ready to snap it , but I commanded her to allow her to submit .Ava let out a Growl that even with out the ability to mind link this pack everyone could understand. Submit or die .

Kayla's wolf continued to try and fight her way out of my grip but she couldn't .

Jameson roared " That is enough Kayla , submit to your Luna , or I will not stop her from the punishment you deserve " he commanded in his Alpha tone .

Kayla's wolf did as she was told , unable to defy a direct order from her Alpha .

Kayla ran out before shifting back into her human form . The pack members all cheered and applauded my show of dominance. Jameson led me out of the dinning hall . He offered me a robe so that I wouldn't be completely naked infront of a pack I was just getting to know . I shifted and quickly wrapped the robe around myself .

" What the f**k is her problem , I all but yelled at him ." " I am sorry that I shifted and fought with one of your pack members on the first official introduction of my being your Luna , but that girl had some nerve and I couldn't allow her to continue to disrespect the mate bond I share with you . "

I was so pissed off that I hadn't even realized Jameson smile , I was for sure he would be livid with me for the show of aggression.

" You made me proud ", he said . " I would not have hesitated to do the exact same thing had any wolf challenged me on our bond . Kayla is one of the strongest female fighters in our pack , you impressed the pack with how easily you took her down . They know that they have a strong Luna who is willing to fight for what she loves , including her mate and her pack . " He said . " Although I am sad that you ruined that green dress , you looked amazing in it " he joked .

Relief washed over my face . Jameson's smile was to die for . I had a feeling not many people got to witness him smile .

" Madam Luna , Alpha " one of Jameson's guards approached us and bowed his head .

" Yes , Anderson , do you have news to report to me"' The smile fades quickly from Jameson's face .

" Unfortunately I do Alpha , my men have reported a sighting of rouge wolves close to the pack territory on their patrol today . The rouges

we're able to loose our trackers as they disappeared into the city , we lost their scents ", Anderson reluctantly told Alpha Ellis .

" Increase border security, I want cameras places at all entry points to the pack grounds. No one leaves or enters the gates without being checked in or out ", Jameson orders.

" Yes sir , I will send out the orders now ", Anderson replied as he bows his head. " Good day madam Luna ", he says as he mind links his guards and walks away .

" Jameson , please tell me this has nothing to do with my being here " , I say worried about the safety of my new pack .

" I wish I could darling , truth is we haven't seen rouges in this area in quite sometime, not many wolves are brave enough to challenge me . I have a feeling this has to do with the Alpha your father informed us of . I think it's time we go and speak to your i***t ex . He may be able to give us more information on why he was brave enough to follow you here " , Jameson says .

I can see the anger filling the air around us .

Jameson has a reputation of being an unforgiving brutal Alpha . I hope that he will allow Rylan to keep his life . Since our mate bond has been completed the love I once had for Rylan is gone , I feel no romantic feelings for him , but I do feel pity . Had I listened to my parents I could have saved him the heart break and now the danger he surly faces because he will not let me go.

" Raven , I do not want you within a mile of this boy , I have a feeling that he will not give me any information without your presence . As much as it pains me to ask you , are you comfortable with accompanying me to the holding cells . I would not ask this of you if I thought I could avoid it. I have a feeling that this boy is stubborn and he will resist speaking to me alone , as he views me as the man who stole your heart from him " , Jameson ask.

I can feel the dread he's feeling though our bond . He is right Rylan has always been stubborn and hardheaded. He had quite the reputation of finding trouble where ever he was. As much as I did not want to go into the dungeon and face him , I knew it was the only way to keep him safe . Rylan would surely anger Jameson with his words and it would cost him his life if I didn't agree to be there.

" Jameson, I will go down there with you , but I want you to promise me that you won't kill him. It isn't his fault that I allowed a relationship to happen between us. I wanted nothing more then to prove my parents wrong. It was wrong of me to be involved with a human not knowing if he was my fated mate. He had no ideal what he was getting into when he agreed to have a relationship with me. I want to make clear to him that what we had was over and to allow him to move on from this." I replied.

" You just about killed another woman over me and now your asking me to hold myself back from showing this man that you belong to me ", Jameson growled.

He was livid , and I understood why , but there was a difference in the situation . " Kayla knows the laws of our kind , she knows that mate bonds are sacred and she still chose to challenge me . Rylan is human , he knows nothing about what we are and what our laws are" , I calmly remind my mate.

" I guess you are right , but I want you to know that I can not promise that Axel won't loose his s**t . I will try my best to remain calm , but before we go I believe it would be best for you to put some clothes on . I don't want this boy to have any more reason to test my patience then he already has ." Jameson huffed.

I almost forgot that I was naked besides the silk robe wrapped around me .

" I agree Sir ", I snicker back to him .

Jameson and I head back upstairs to our suite , occasionally passing members of the pack on the way . Each pack member I pass bowes their heads in respect to me . I am not used to being the center of attention. I have always avoided the spot light even being the Alpha's daughter . This is something I will need to get used to , although I must say it does feel nice to be accepted into the pack .

we reach out floor and find Becca and Tuck outside thier suite door . They are so fixated on the passionate kiss they are sharing they almost don't even realize we are there .

" Get a room " , I tease .

Becca pulls away from Tucker long enough to stick her tongue out at me .

" We were just heading there " , Tucker replies huskily before opening his door and pulling Becca inside .

I am beyond happy for her. Becca has waited her whole life to find Tucker. I can't believe that we ended up mated to members of the same pack . Yet I am thankful to have her here with me.

I must admit I am jealous of the two , I want nothing more then to stay in our room and take each other in , but I know we have to take care of the Rylan issue first .

" Little wolf , I can smell your arousal , I am going to need you to calm yourself until we can take care of our problem down stairs , or we may never make it there ." Jameson whispers into my ear as he unlocks our suite .

The warmth of his breath sends shivers down my spin . " Sorry Alpha , I can't help what you do to me , mate bond and all" I tease back .

" Get dressed little wolf , we have to take care of something's and then I promise you , We won't leave this room for the rest of the night."

I quickly go to my closet. I am still in awe of the massive walk in closet that now belongs to me. As I am searching through the drawers I find that they are stocked with lingerie , I make a quick mental note to wear one of the sets to bed tonight for Jameson . I pull on plain back leggings , a tee-shirt and running shoes. I throw my hair into a messy bun and walk out to meet Jameson in the living room .

" Those leggings make your ass look quite delectable , oh the things I will do to you tonight little Wolf " Jameson says with tantalizing promise .

" Jameson if you keep talking like that we will never leave this room " I replied fighting the urge to jump in his lap and make him take me .

" Fine , let's get this over with so that I can spend the rest of this evening punishing you for making me wait to have what I want ", he huffs .

Jameson heads to the dungeon , and I follow him . We use the elevator that leads us to the basement , then a secret door that leads to the entrance of the dungeon. The scent of rot and decay is over powering. The smell of iron fills the air from the amount of blood that has been spilt down here . This is the first time since meeting Jameson that enforces the truth about his reputation.

Although I feel no love toward Rylan , I feel pity for him . I hope that he will be cooperative. I hope that he will be able to keep his life today .

The cells of the dungeon are thick steel laced with silver . The silver is intended to keep wolves from escaping the bars , but since Rylan is human all that is needed are the large bars to hold him.

We approach a split in the hallway that leads to two separate halls and I follow Jameson down the hall to the right.

Jameson excuses the gard who has been in charge of Ryaln's cell and we approach it .

" Raven , what in the hell is going on. why are you here in a freaking castle with this dude. Please tell me you were forced to leave and come here , tell them you want to come home with me so we can leave" Rylan begins as soon as he sees me .

" She will be going nowhere with you boy " Jameson growls.

" Look dude , I don't know who you are or where you came from , or how you have a castle with a dungeon , but I know that up until yesterday Raven and I were happy . We had a life and all I want is for her to come home with me and we can forget her mistakes . I forgive you Ray please let's just leave. " Rylan begs .

Jameson let's out an inhuman possessive growl . Rylan's eyes widen in shock.

"what the f**k are you , this is crazy first the creepy guy at the coffee shop and now this . I am dreaming that's it this is a dream" , Rylan says out loud to himself .

" Ry , there are things I can not explain to you , I am sorry for the way things have played out , but I need you to understand that I will not be returning home . This is my home now . I choose to stay here with Jameson . what we had is over . I am sorry that I hurt you . I need to know how you found me , how you found this place. " I ask .

" No f**k this , I don't understand Ray , you are willing to throw us away for some jacked up tattooed freak . It's because of your father isn't it . He arranged this . he always hated me . You don't have to do this we can run away together and he doesn't have to know. " Rylan is desperate . He doesn't understand why I would choose a man I just met over him , but that is how the mate bond works . We don't question it , the other half of our soul lives within our fated mate , we are two half's of a whole .

" What do you not understand boy , she said she isn't leaving . You are pushing your luck . Now answer her questions" Jameson uses his Alpha tone. Even a human can sense the power of an Alpha . I see the fear in Rylan's eyes . I place my hand on Jameson's using my mind link to speak to him .

" Please calm down , he will tell us nothing if you scare him ", I say sweetly to my mate .

" Little wolf I am trying my best not to rip his heart out , I am going to step away for a few moments before I can no longer control Axel "

Jameson kisses my forehead and walks away .

" Seriously Ray , why . Please just tell me why you can throw our life away like this . " Rylan begs for answers . I can see the hurt all over him and it makes my heart hurt for him .

" Ry , like I said there are things about me , about my family that I can not share with you . Knowing would put your life into danger. The fact that you are here puts you in danger . I need you to tell me about the man in the coffee shop and how you found me here . I truly am sorry that I can not share with you everything you wish to know , but I am trying to save your life . "

Rylan's Pov:

I can see that Ray is being sincere about what she is saying . To be honest I have no ideal why I took the advice of that Jake guy and came here . I don't know what I was expecting. I hoped that Raven would forget about the man she named as Jameson. We were happy before and I hoped that I could convince her to come home and move past last night . I was pissed when I walked up on what ever it was that they were about to do , in my heart I felt like her parents had some sort of arrangement with this guy. I mean they were strange people, who never hid their dislike of me. Jake sent me a text as soon as I left last night , telling me that if I wanted Raven back I would find her here I drive for hours to find this address only to be captured by the huge guards as soon as I arrived All the males here are unnaturally large . This Jameson man was huge but I had no problem fighting him to win my girl back at first . But being here lock in a dungeon , hearing the inhuman sounds coming from him have me terrified . I have no ideal what is happening but I know it feels unnatural. I decide that I will tell her about the strange man and what he said to me .

" He said his name is Jake , he approached me yesterday at the shoppe. He warned me that things wouldn't go as planned when I told him I was waiting on you, that I had planned on proposing to you for your birthday . I was shaken up when that is exactly what happened , you ran out of the coffee shop right before I could ask . I don't know what happened back there because I've never seen you act like that . Then you texted me saying that we couldn't see each other anymore. I wasn't willing to let you go like that. We have been though so much . I know your parents never approved of me and I didn't want to crash your party like that but I needed to see you. I need to make things right . That's when I found the two of you . He had his hands all over you in a way that made me want to puke , I was pissed and I wanted to walk away and let it go , let you go . You tore my heart out when I saw you with him" , I told her and I didn't hold back the tears that were starting to form . I loved Ray , with all of my heart and I caught her cheating on me hours after I had planned to ask her to be my wife .

" I'm sorry Ry, I wish things could have been different for us , I wish I never would have hurt you like this. But Jameson is more then what you understand to me. I can not come back to you I have already given myself to him and we are" she struggled to find the words " We are married Ry "

My heart sank and then I realized something about her was different , She had a strange sapphire colored tattoo that resembled the half moon on her should peaking out from under her v neck tee shirt.

"Ray did you come here of your own free will " I asked her .

" Yes , I did. I belong here. These are my people and I love Jameson . I want to be here " she relied .

This sent a wave of anger though me . To know that the women I wanted to spend my life with tossed me to the side for some new guy . she gave her self to him. I couldn't imagine the way she let him take her virginity, something that she wouldn't allow me to do in the two years I was faithful to her .

" f**k you Ray " I spat at her with venom laced words . " That Jake guy gave me this address , he said I would find you here and if I wanted you back I needed to come , I can see it was a waste of my time . Can you ask your asshole of a husband or what ever he is to you if I can please be released from this hell hole so I can go home and live my life . You have made it clear that we are done , and honestly I don't want you now that I know what a w***e you have been letting thing guy f**k you after not even 24 hours . I hope your arranged marriage goes well "

Before she could reply , Jameson bust though my cell door and grabbed me by the throat. His eyes were changing from blue to emerald green again , something I had convinced myself I hadn't really seen last night . I was struggling to breath as his massive hand crushed my wind pipe . Damn this guy was strong I weigh about 200 lbs and I'm muscular this guy had me in the air with one hand .

" You will not disrespect her like that again boy , if you value your life you will never speak to my mate like that again. She has made it clear to you that what you had is over ." Jameson roared

" Jameson please stop . He told me what he knows . put him down and let's just go " , Ray begged him.

Jameson let go of me while I scrambled to suck in as much oxygen as I could he slammed my cell door shut .

" I will release you , if you come near my home , near my mate again I will not hesitate to kill you . Do I make my self clear boy ?" Jameson warned .

" Crystal " I replied with what strength I could drawl from my lungs .

"Get the number of the blood sucker from the boys phone , then drive him out of the territory and dump him , make sure he leaves in the right direction before returning home" . Jameson ordered the guard that has been standing out side my cell . Then he grabbed Ray by the hand and pulled her away . She turned to look at me once more before disappearing with Jameson. I could see the apology in her eyes . " What did he mean when he said blood sucker , and who calls their wife their mate . I wanted to let Ray go . But I couldn't . As pissed off as I was , something In me needed her. Before her I was nothing but trouble and it seems to be that without her I am stepping right back into that pattern. I am disgusted that she slept with someone else , but I will not stop until I have her back. No matter what it takes .

The guard places a sack over my head and slings me over his shoulder as if I weigh nothing . What in the hell. Why are all then men here so strong . After about three and half hours the guard pulls me from the car we had been traveling in and hands me my car keys . It seems as another one of that dude's goons had driven my car to this location .

" Get in your car and don't come back , Alpha has been merciful this time , next time you will not be so lucky. It seems as the Luna has spared your life ." the guard says.

I get into my car and drive toward home. My phone buzzes and I don't recognize this number I answer it anyway .

" Well well look who is still alive " , I hear Jake's creepy voice on the line .

" What the hell dude , did you know that guy owns a castle . I have just spent the last few hours of my life locks in a creepy ass dungeon. Did you know about her marriage "I scream at him.

" I know you are a smart boy , tell me son , did she bare his mark ! " Jake hisses into my speaker.

" What is going on , why are all you people freaks, what mark . " I ask

" Rylan please don't tell me you are as stupid as you sound . We are not ordinary people and I think that you can tell this . The mate mark , did she have it." ? Jake ask.

" Do you mean her new tattoo , the sapphire colored moon tattoo ? Yeah she has it , why do you all keep saying mate Instead of what they are , she married him . I don't know how you knew it was going to happen but f**k you for not just telling me she was a cheater and making me walk in on them screwing around, and for making me believe I could get her back if I showed up there ." I screamed back at him .

" Rylan , I know that you realize something strange is happing between your lady and the Alpha , I am sure you have heard him refered to as such. I suggest that you research legends of werepeople and then contact me ". Click.

What in the actual f**k is going on . Those people were abnormally strange , and the way Jameson's eyes change . Did I hear them correctly when they called Jake a blood sucker . The way they refered to Jameson as Alpha and now Jake is suggesting I research made up stories of werewolves. He can't be serious. I spent the rest of my drive home lost in thought wondering if I was seeing things . As soon as I get home I rush to my computer and beging the search .

My search leads me to an artical about some goddess refered to as a moon goddess that selects mates for her children . I read that once mated the couple will be marked with unique tattoo like marks that allow the other werewolves to know that a wolf gas been claimed. Then my jaw drops as I read that An Alphas mark is unique , because he is the head of a "pack" his mark will be sapphire in color instead of crimson , this let's the Pack know that the wearer of this sapphire mark is the mate of the Alpha , she in laymen's term is the queen of the werewolf pack .

My head is spinning as I recall the sapphire blue tattoo that Ray now has , it wasn't there yesterday that I noticed and I never seen it before . This can't be real. Werewolves were made up fictional characters . I pull my phone out and call Jake back .

" I see you have found the truth about your precious Raven . Meet me at the address I sent you , don't be late" then he hangs up . I am left shocked and still in disbelief of what I have just read and been told . I head to the address Jake sent .
