“Go. There is a console with emergency power. I must go check on the others,” Delaira said before she disappeared down the darkened corridor before Mohan or Gracie could stop her. Gracie moved over quickly to the console and straightened the chair. She sat down at the console and began punching in a series of commands looking to see if she could tap into the Alluthans’ computer system again. Sweat beaded and ran down her face, creating a dirty path, but she ignored it. It took almost ten minutes, but she was finally able to find an open door. Thank God the Alluthans were solitary creatures. This might be the reason they had not evolved if their programming was anything to go by.
