Amber asked Chris what Is the problem.
Chris continued, “Amber, For a person like me, one million dollars is huge.”
“My business is not well these days. I have taken lot of loans from banks.”
“So, I cannot help you with money.”
“I can ask for help. But I am not sure the person will help me.”
Amber frowned and said, “Okay, who is that person?”
Chris sighed and said, “Amber, the only rich person I knew is Anthony. Only he is the one I can ask for help.”
“But, as you rejected to marry him, I am not sure if he will help us.”
Amber felt like a bucket full of ice poured on her.
Vivian said, “You daughter rejected his proposal, and you expect him to help you.”
“Why will he help you?”
“You are so arrogant like your mother. You rejected his proposal just like that.”
“Who do you think you are? Are you queen Victoria? Or do you think all men in the world will stand in queue to marry you?”
“He is rich and young man. Will you get more capable man than him to marry you?”
“Even if you do penance by tuning head to down, you wont get a rich man like him.”
“But you still rejected him.”
Chris said, “Vivian, stop it.”
“It is not the time to discuss about all this.”
“It is absolutely Amber’s choice to marry him or not.”
“She has right to choose.”
Vivan said, “But what of now. Who will help now?”
“Why will he help you?”
Amber thought for a moment. She knew that she has to do now.
She rejected Anthony because she knew about him.
He is the man she never wants to see in her life.
Now, to save her mother she has to do this.
She said, “Dad, I will marry Anthony.”
Vivian felt incredibly happy.
She came to Amber and said, “Amber, are you saying truth?”
“You really want to marry Anthony. Oh great! You have taken good decision. It will change your life forever.”
Chris said, “Vivian, shut up.”
Vivian rolled her eyes and sat back.
Chris looked at Amber and said, “Amber, are you sure?”
“It is your life decision. You cannot take it in haste.”
“Think about it. Once you commit, you cannot take it back.”
Amber shook her head and said, “No head. I thought a lot and taken this decision.”
“If this is the only way that I could save my mom, I will do it.”
“I will do anything to save and marrying him not a big thing.”
“I will marry Anthony.”
“Please inform him dad.”
She strongly decided and she won’t go back on her word.
Chris said, “Okay Amber. Its your decision.”
“But I already informed him that you did not except for marriage.”
“I am not sure if he will again consider this proposal.”
“Moreover, he is so offended when you rejected him.”
Amber heart stopped for once.
Yes, it is true. He might get offended.
Now, it is not sure that he will help her or not.
He is rich and powerful man. He can do whatever he wants.
Moreover, now she is in need, and he is in giving position.
He will take advantage of this situation and reject her.
Chris said, “Amber, I don’t know if he agrees to help us or not.”
“Let me call you and explain the situation. If he agrees we can get money.”
“You wait here.” He turned to Vivian and said, “Vivian, serve her lunch.”
Amber shook her head and said, “No, I don’t want anything now.”
Chris said, “Amber, eat something. If you don’t eat how, you will have energy. Eat something.”
“Vivian, server her some food.”
“I will talk with Anthony. Let us see what he says.”
Amber nodded her head.
Vivian served her lunch. But Amber could not eat at all.
Swallowing food is also difficult for her.
Chris went to the upstairs.
He came down after sometimes.
Amber barely ate anything.
She was waiting for Chris to come.
Chris came down and looked little worried.
Amber said, “Dad, what did he say? Did he agree for this proposal? Is he ready to help us?”
Chris sighed and said, “Amber, I said about your situation. I also said that you are in need for money.”
“But Anthony did not answer anything.”
“He asked you to come to Victoria hotel and meet him in room no 2244.”
Amber frowned and said, “What?”
Chris said, “Amber, do not worry. He said he want to talk to you.”
“He said he can tell his decision only after meeting you.”
“Once he accepts this proposal, he will be ready to help you and violet will be saved.”
Amber said, “Okay, I will go and meet him.”
Vivian felt very happy.
She said, “Amber, you have taken good decision.”
“He will help you for sure and your mother will be safe.”
“We also …”
She stooped and said, “Nothing, nothing.”
Chris said, “Vivian, You shut up your mouth.”
He said, “Okay Amber, Go and meet him. I am sure he will accept for this proposal.”
“May be he just want to listen your decision from your mouth.’
“That’s all. Don’t worry.”
“Anthony is a good man. He loves you so much that he will do anything for you.”
“I am sure, he will accept anything you say.”
“Go without any doubt.”
Amber nodded her head.
She turned around to leave.
Chris said, “Amber, wait. Let me drop you at the hotel. Otherwise, I will become late.”
“We don’t have much time and things need to do quickly.”
Amber nodded her head.
Chris took car keys and left with Amber to Victoria hotel.
Lilly called Amber. Amber lifted the call.
Lilly said, “Amber, where are you? Where did you go?”
Amber said, “Stay with mom until I come, mostly I will come by night.”
Lilly said, “Amber, don’t take any decision in haste. Don’t do things which you cannot take back in life.”
“Think before you act.”
Lilly is worried about Amber.
Amber cut the call and tears rolled from her eyes.
