LUCIAN  Something is wrong. I feel something off in the air the moment I step into the hall. An unusual scent hits me. It's not blood, or fear, but some sort of aura of illness. Like the cloying rot of fevered skin and damp linen. “Leah,” I mutter, my heart dropping. “Where is she?” I bark, already halfway down the corridor. Sasha meets me at the threshold of Leah’s room, her face pale and unreadable. “She’s inside. It’s… gotten worse.” “What?” I don’t wait for an answer. I push past her and into the room.
