LUCIAN “What do you do when the person you’d bleed for won’t even look at you?” My heart aches as I see Leah from afar. My plan to get her out of her room has finally worked. As if I knew that she wouldn't want to leave her room, Sasha was my best bet. I know she doesn't want to see me at all. And I do not all blame her, if I were her, I'd be mad at me too. I stay at the edge of the garden clearing as I see her approaching, with Sasha coming behind her. It’s the first time I’ve seen her in days. She steps into the garden, her shoulders hunched, and her eyes guarded. She looks so fragile, it's like the air itself might shatter her. She looks up, and our eyes lock, it guts me. The pain in her eyes is almost unbearable. What's worse? There’s no hatred there, that would’ve been easier.
