Elder Steve's Pov

Everyone was laughing now in Alex's expense but now it's time to end that.

"Yes Promises are dangerous expecially if your going to make it with a Demon." All eyes were on him now.

"Again back to Selene. She help us understand that when a angel is the one who guides your conscience it's to lead you into being alert to around your setting or in the right path, a demon does the oppsit of that."

Everyone nodded, continuing "Selene also stated that when a angel falls they still have some of their powers expecially the swaying part of them. I realization that when we figured out that the demon's can manipulate ones werewolves into the back of the their heads with out communication with their human conterparts."

Everyone could hear the discussed in my voice and their facial expression matched.

Matt cleared his throat now in serious mode instead of his carefree one, " That would make sense right on how Todd is so feral."

I nodded to him and add, "And like my father"

"So how did you stop Beelzebub from steeling your wolf?" Asked my beautiful daughter her bright eyes looking at me with interset. I can't stop the pain that is forming under my chest where my heart lays. So many years missed and my time here now is growning shorter but everyone needed to know.

"With Selene's Mage book." Everyone looked confused and that was to be noted, "While at the ruins Selene help my brother and me; plus our scholars find information to make a book. My brother kept it. It was Called the Battlemage Guide. It has everything on defeating a demon, blocking out a demon and how the old world for Guardian Mages could be serve their packs. How every to come find out Guardian mages not only protected werewolves but other supernatural beings. It had lead for peace for the longest time until the demons came."

"Well where is this book now?" Asked Joe

I sighed, "More then like hidden in the Mage Council."

I heard a load intake and looked at my daughter, granddaughter, and Lucia. The only three that seemed to note the severity of the situation of this.

"D**it of course it would be there." Lucia jump to her feet causing Joe to jump to his and put his hand on her shoulders. Lucia looked at Joe and noded with love in her eyes, " The Council is locked up so tight because of Kara, there's no way we can just stroll in there and start looking. Will need to get some people involved and right now knowing that Camila is on Kara side it will be hard to get anything pass her without her noticing us." She sighed.

I nodded, "Sit down dear before you give this poor boy a heart attack."

She nodded and sat down with Joe letting out his breath that he's been holding in, and sat down back with her.

"Didn't you say your mother was on the council though, Lucia?" asked John looking at her with confussion.

"Yes, but with Kara and Camila they swaying everything with them it hard to get anything passed or choose the next Head Council of Mage because it's divided each vote everytime is held at least three month we vote again next month. However, the council doesn't know their involvement. We maybe able to present this in the next vote. However. Security has been tight and I'm pretty sure Camila has a hand in that."

"Are you allowed in there though?" I asked

"Yes, I am. I'm going to need proof though of their crimes otherwise it just hearsay." Camila shook her head.

Her honey brown eyes little up though and looked to her mate.

"Can you find a way to provide some evidence?" she asked him

"How? I don't have any video of them meeting when you guys saw him, How are we going to get any of it?" Joe asked.

Jake then jumped up from his mate and stated, "Wait we have Todd in the cells, he's been away from Kara awhile now, do you think we could as least get a confession from him?"

Joe shook his head, "Not until I figure out how to get surveillance in there, yeah I can probably put one on the people who go question him but I would need to figure out a far distance record or record from different angles."

Joe lifted his eyes in the air in thought of the new idea. Then his head picked up with a shot and looked at us with a grin, I had to contain a chuckle with only my lips twitching of any idea I was laughing.

"How about we get some recorders on some bugs or spiders, my little mate here can manipulate particals. I can get some small ones on them."

Lucia eyes went wide and she all but screeched at the poor boy, "Ay Dios Mio, not spiders, love! Anything but that."

She shivered and Joe laughted at her, "My wonder women is scared of a spider?"

She smaked him lovely on the back of the head, "Pick something else up or you'll be waiting to mark me after that comment or if you continue to make fun of my fears. Spiders! Why do they have to have so many legs anyways, like Octopus! Nope, Nope, Nope, not happening!"

Give Joe credit he didn't crack with the rest of us when we all burst into laughter.

"I can't do snakes," my daughter added, "Worms with teeth! Same with those eel's could never try a dish of it at a restaurant once. Gave my the heebie jeebies." She shuddered after that.

"Really?" asked Alex, with a wide grin, "I'll make a note of that when I wine and dine you then, don't want to end up in the dog house do I"

"Second that!" answered Chase.

"Well anyways let get working on how we can recorded Todd so he can confess. Also, we are going to have to work out on how to get into the Mage Council now it seems. Wouldn't be a bad idea on getting a Lead Mage Council elected as well." I commented.

Everyone was silence for a while. I let them think about it but I all ready knew who I wanted. I looked at Lucia and asked, "So your mom is she trying to get elected?"

Lucia snorted, " No not really she has too many kids that she has to supervise and she always said she was happy in her assistant job. See whoever becomes head she will become the assistant too. She doesn't want Kara, knows the evil in that girl, couldn't tell what kind, but has been expressing to other that something was off, and that she would quit her job if she was elected. Put lots of members in pause because mom is so good with her job and manage to raise so many kids at the same time, she's well respected and could apply for that job but won't."

I nodded at her looking at Evie, "I know who I want." I stated to her, shaking her head at me, "I've already became Gaurdian and Luna to this pack dad. I can't be Head of Council as well."

I chuckled at her, "I wasn't talking to you my dear, but speaking of that you will have the be here for a while but your roll will change, Evie. To follow your mate's."

I gotten Alex attention with that comment. So I decided now was a good time then another other now.

"I was actually think Aveline North would work."

I watched her eye widen and a frown form, "Mother?"

Alex brow nitted, "Mother, I didn't think she was in the picture where your concern, although you never mentioned your mother, Evie?"

Evie reached for Alex's hand, "Because she is forbidden, she's an elf and with massive attacks toward the Eleven kind and our treatment, we've been all but whipped out. The only reason why I was able to stay was because of my uncles protection, but many people hated me, treatment me with distain. I don't think that has change, Father. We're still treated as slaves, with back wording of servants when you first met her." She looked at me, "Nobody in the council will vote her in for something so important."

"They would," I commented then looked at Alex, "Special if it was supported by the Head of Elders on the Werewolf Council for peace and a alliance was made."

Alex brow creased even futher, "What are you suggesting there old man?"

I clicked my tongue at him, "That was very crude, meaning that I'm stepping down as Head of Elders, young man and I've elected my replacement and that replacement is you."

I watched as shock transferred in his face then anger, "You never asked me if that is what I wanted! With the two children going through what the are doing now, there's no way I'm leaving them. They need training and guidance."

"So do you! Alex, it's not going to happen right away. We need to get proof and train everyone. That includeds the kids, you, and Aveline. If we can find her that is." I stated.

"One thing is for certin though," Matt interupted, "We need to get in to the Mage area to find this book so we can defeat Kara, if electing a head for both council's can remove any influnce from Kara and this Camila. We need to do this before she gets back and we need some kind of fighting chance to win this! Also I wouldn't mind if that brought head to head with this Camila girl and taking her out before then too!"

"Oh I would love to take her out myself!" Lucia barked with gusto.

Alex all but growled at his Beta. Looking at my daughter's eye they were faded a bit on this information, lost in thought of what to make of it.

"It's the best solution I've come up with." I stated "I have all but giving my immortality to Dylon, the new King of the Werewolves, advice from the Moon Goddess herself I would like to add."

Alex looked at me like he was just been beaten senselessly. I would have laughed at the look but we're needing him to agree.

"Alex, take some time to think about it but we need to remove any influence Kara has on both council's. We also need to get Jade healthy again. So we can track down Aveline to make the proposal to her as well. We need Joe to work his magic with Lucia to get a confession from Todd. This is all going to take some time young man. Enough time for you to at least consider my offer."

"What will happen to me?" asked Matt concerned.

"You'll become Beta to the new Elder, every Elder has a Head Beta more like a Head of security. Mine happen to died many years ago and I just never replaced him. Couldn't replace him is a better word for it. He was my best friend and one I trusted with my life and had been through everything with my brother and dad. I just couldn't find anyone better. However, my time is done. I've lived many years and with in this next few years I'm going to start looking my age now and will not be able to stop myself from leaving this world. I need to know that I have the right players in place and the my family is well protected."

"We always assumed you were old but not as old as we're learning now. Always thought you'd break with the slightess touch but now it seems stress can make you look a little bit of a weakling." Iduna comment with a little bit of redness to her cheeks with embarressment.

I barked with laughter, "Yes I can see that and please don't be embarressed about that. Stress can be a killer just like any claw, knife, bullet, or getting your head ripped off. We all have to deal with that kind of stress but it's how we manage it. I will fully admit that I had let it fester for too many years. I never really coped with it. I was trying to die fully knowning that I had immortality. To suffer so long and yet continue with it has been my greatest guilt and letting my family out there unsearched and just assuming they died or couldn't be found."

Every eye was on me with saddness, I could feel it in my bones. Everyone makes mistake I told myself but I let them get too much out of control. It has to stop now! Before I leave this world I will set and guide another great battle in hope of victory like I did in my other timeline. I will protect the ones that I love.

Just as I was thinking these thoughts, a light glow ambulated from the children again. Now ages of 6 and 4 years old.

"Their growning faster then we ever did, we're going to need to start moving faster if we have to train them in time." stated my wolf Jasper.

I nodded to him, my wolf has all but quite for sometime time now but arriving here being close to his pup and his pup's pup, has all but energized him back to life again. Yes I thought as much as I have some understanding of what's going on. Things are different this time around. Meaning we better get on our A game and quickly.
