Jade Pov: I woke up early to do some protrol leaving everyone to sleep in. It was a beautiful day. They had a new Luna and that new Luna was one of my very close friends. I love Evie, she was serious at times and then carefree at other things. Even though she was quite a bit older than me. She treats me as an equal. Then again, everyone here loved and respected me. It wasn't always like that. The question here was when she first came into the pack, on her skills, and whether I was good enough for Jake. I even question it at times. I have proven myself through the years by my husband's side. I never taking anything for granted. I trained along side the warriors and taught them a little of my ninja background to help give our warriors an extra edge. Though some learn faster than others, or some warriors were just not sure feet-ed for it. Though they all appreciated my knowledge and after time I earned that respected. I also trained some of the younger generation around my age on stealth and bows. They were eager to learn about the shadows and how to ambush. I loved the fact that this pack had an open mind and hearts. I grew up in a strickled up bringing and wasn't allowed to do a whole lot of anything. I was able to train in shadows and learned to defend myself, but I had to do a lot of the edict training as well. That was so boring to me. Some say that Jake and I would take over the pack some day. They talked about that nonsense Alpha Alex hadn't found his mate, yet. You would think that the gossip would end there but it hadn't, with Bella and Evie showing up the rumors got worse. Talks of them sending Bella into hiding, until the girl came into her full streaght. For me I hope not. I'm sure I would learn how to be that polish myself as parents stride for, but I just want freedom from politics, but I would do anything for Jake and this pack. I try to keep it out of my mind for now and will do what I have to when the time comes for that. I turned around the bend heading toward the boards that attached our pack with Bridewood. We walked a couple of miles in, Asena growled at me. "Do you smell that?" She asked me. I sniffed the air and I smelled it rotten flesh and fresh blood mixed into the air. I could smell a little black magic too, but it was faint. Asena and I moved closer out of the packboard. "Asena, message Brick, tell him what's happening." I messaged my wolf, she nodded her head but we continued on. "Jade shift!" Ansena said, so I shifted. Ansena and I rolled into the mud and dirt, hiding our sent away. We traveled closer to the stench and found a pile of thickets, we started to crawl under them. Some of the thorns brush our fur and poke us a little in the skin, but nothing that would be dramatic in any sense. We continued onward until we came through the clearing. The rotten smell of death now was strong and thick, burning into my nose. Piles of dead rogues scattered along the opening, leaving a horrific battle field. They looked like they we're attacking one person. Their bodies laid in a circle like normal werewolves circling for a kill. However, this looked like their plan had failed them. Ansena and I moved closer to the pile, hoping to detect something out of the flesh. At first, all we could smell was the bodies, but there was a under tone though. Just slight if you we weren't paying too much attention. A hint of black magic. This magic seemed different from what I had smelled around Alpha Alex's first mate, Mara. This magic wasn't as strong or focused. It seemed untamed to me. Suddenly, the wind had shifted and I could see the air move slightly. "Someone is watching us," growled Asena. We didn't like to be watched. That meant we weren't stealthy enough to conceal where we were. Finally, the air moved, showing a little figure standing only a hundred yards from us. She was small, framed like myself with milky skin and stood about 5'6 feet. She had hazel hair pulled back and thick black glasses that framed her brown eyes. She looked like a nerd back in my high school days. However, the magic rising out of her gave me warning alarms as it was the same dark magic I felt. This was the killer who killed all of these rogues. She grinned at me. It made all my hair strands stand straight up. "Well, well, little wolf, I see you made it to my playground. I was wondering if you would come? My master told me a lot about you, Jade." The mage grinned as she walked towards me. I tried back slowly, trying not to step on the c*****e below my feet. I slowly shifted back to my human formed. The Mages eyes lit up as she took in my nakedness. Normally, being naked doesn't bother me, but the way she looked at me made my stomach clench and hurt. "However, they didn't say you were beautiful. Girls like you tend to ignore me back in the day and I let them. No matter, I'm Ona, Kara's Apprentice. I only touch her, if that's what your worried about. Plus, you couldn't pay me enough to touch your flea-skin." She said with a mocking face. "You seem to know a lot about me. Why is it we don't know anything about you?" I asked. She sneered at that, "I like the shadows. Certainly you would understand that, but pretty soon, when my master will kill your kind, I will be in the spotlight this time as Princess. Nobody will take me for granted anymore." I snorted at her, "Yeah right." She growled at me and as her hand lit up with hot fire flames at her finger tips. "Where gonna have a big battle her Jade. Watch her movements and if you need to use Evie's rings," Said Asena. "I'll do the healing, let the ring do the other things." Ona looked bored and finally said, "Done talking to your wolf now?" "Let's Play!" grinned Ona and started throwing fire my way. We dodged and rolled as the fire erupted around us. I managed to dart pass her, slashing my nails a couple of times in her direction. When I turned I could see small amounts of blood forming in her white sundress she was wearing. She was still grinning like a fool. Damn this b**ch! I growled. I dodged between the fireballs and swiftly kicked out one my legs, making a satisfying crunch as her ribs popped. She flew off a few feet away with her hands still on fire. With a quick back flip she was on her feet again. Sh*t, I said to myself. I felt power running through her again as she materialized, throwing stars out of nowhere. I quickly flew my body side to side trying to confuse her, but some of the stars had hit their target. They didn't imbed in me but, they were sure to out some flesh here and there and, with my naked-ness, I counted myself lucky. We went back and forth, slashing and firing balls that started to fly in replacement of the stars when she ran out. The tree tops burned by the fireballs, the branches snapped and crackled. The smell of chare wood and fresh blood filled the air. Ona laughed in my face the entire time, making me think she was a real psychopath. I used the magical ring and started running from branch to branch as a snarling Ona yelled, "No, fair little Wolf, where did you get that magic?" She huffed out, "Probably the little elf wench, she was always so unworthy." I wanted to pound this girl in the face, but getting close to her, met getting burned badly by the flying fire that she was throwing. If we keep this up, the whole woods will soon go up into flames, but if she can get to the boarder she'll be safer. She could feel in the back of her mind the boys trying to reach to her but couldn't message or do anything back. If she did, the loss of concentration and that would be really bad at this new-found moment. Ona must have a sense of what I was doing. She magically transferred in front of me, aiming at all the branches to my path as I tried to outthink her into another passage. The smoke was suffocation and the oxygen that was entering my lungs burning as I was trying to catch my breath. I was running out of energy and I noticed Asena energy was being sap out, too. With another leap, I missed a branch, barely holding on with my finger tips. Ona sent up another burst of flames burning my fingers. The pain was so great that I let go and fell with a big thump. I heard the crunching of my ribs knowing that I had broken some, making my already lack of oxygen worse. I rolled on my stomach trying to push up off the ground. My already naked body was covered in leaves, grass, and small little sticks. I had bruises and cut marks. I tried reaching out to Asena to shift but she was fading in the back of my mind. I knew then that she had used all of her strength to keep us healing all this time and now it was sapped out. I looked at the ring and the bright glow that normally radiated out of it was fading away. I was on my own. I looked around, trying to find a place to hide. To my left was the thicket I used when I first arrived. I stood up trying to run to it. Every breath hurts more and more. Once I reached it, the bushes shook and then the vines flew out, wrapping me up with thorns and vines. I felt my skin being sliced even more as I tried not to scream. The vines forced me around towards Ona. She had the most wicked grin on her face. I fought, but the harder I fought, the tighter the vines and thorns cut into me. Ona let out a little laugh. "Well, this was entertaining but pointless. There was no match between us because us mages are above you all and you had no chance." She walked saucily to me with a great big grin on her face. "Now for a little fun." She opened her hands open and I could feel the magic forming. She started mumbling and I couldn't quite hear it through my harsh breathing, but the magic started to turn green. I knew instantly dark magic. My heart started beating so rapidly. My ears were pounding with my heart, so this is the end I thought. I'm stuck here and I can't get out of this situation. I tried opening my eyes to look straight at her. That's when a bright light flashed, it was like lighting without the thunder. The vine's shook and retreated back to the thickets. My eyes were finally able to focus through the bright light. I could make out a small body. I tried not to gasp as the little body started to form into Bella. Bella, a few months old, now looks like a two-year-old girl. She has a new tattoo of a moon crest on her forehead. The magic around her was blinding, her eyes shine like silver coins with quick flashes of white that looked like lightening. Ona turned with a hiss. Bella lifted up both hands and white magic shot out. It wrapped around Ona. The screaming sound that came out of her was worse than a nail on a chockboard. Ona all ready skinny frame was withering away. Bella, in her new form, stood face to face in front of Ona and simply stated, "No one threatens my friend." Ona's eyes went wide, "You look like Kara." Bella smiled at Ona, "I look like my mother, not my aunt." Realization dawned on Ona as she whispered, "No!" Bella's smile widened again and she nodded, "May the Moon Goddess be easy on your soul, for I, the Queen of all Supernatural, will not." The two-year-old girl took up from a screaming mage, mumbled a few things I couldn't catch and Ona the Mage screamed and crackled as her skin ripped, a burst of new light came from Ona and all of the sudden she exploded. I looked up to Bella as she grinned at me. I coughed once even though it hurt like hell. "You have a lot of explaining to do, girl." I said, trying my best to glare at her. Bella laughed, "Of course, but maybe first I should get you back to the pack house so you can heal and maybe clothed before we have this chit-chat. As it's a very long story." I nodded to myself right now, I was alive and well for the moment and trying not to rake my brain too hard on what just happened. Plus I was cold!
