Who Attacked First?

“What did you say?” Aria asked through gritted teeth.

“Ah, I said that your parents wanted you to come and visit. Unfortunately, I scolded them and chased them away,” sarah said triumphantly. She was just relishing what she was saying. Earlier, she had not been very polite but she also did not chase them away.

Aria kicked sarah in the stomach. Everyone was stunned. Sarah fell to the ground. The servants quickly went forward. One held Aria back, and the other helped Sarah up. Another quickly went to inform the men at home.

Everyone in the Cross family knew one thing. The two young ladies of the Cross family were not on good terms. The two of them would quarrel almost immediately when they met. However, no one expected that the two of them would actually fight this time.

Aria pushed away the servant who was blocking her and went forward to fight with sarah. Sarah clawed at Aria like crazy, and Aria’s mind was only filled with what Sarah had said just now. The two of them were in a fierce fight.

Aria thought that she would be fine with being mistreated. For the sake of the family’s business, she had married a man she did not know. Not only was she living a miserable life, but now her parents were also suffering.

Her eyes reddened, and she once again pinned Sarah down on the ground.

Old Master Cross was the first to hear the commotion. He immediately rushed over, and when he saw the two people fighting, he ordered the servants to separate them. The few servants did not dare to go forward, and the two Cross brothers who happened to hear the commotion entered the house at the same time. When they saw Aria push sarah to the ground, they hurriedly ran over.

Aria broke free from dominic’s hold and glared at him. “This is what you wanted to see, right?”

Aria walked towards the ruined gifts on the ground. Some of the boxes had been ruined by Sarah. With tears in her eyes, she carried a few of them upstairs to her bedroom. Seeing that something was wrong, dominic immediately followed her upstairs.

Although Old Master Cross was furious, he could tell that something was wrong. He pointed at the gift boxes on the floor and asked the butler beside him, “What happened?”

The butler glanced at sarah and said, “Today, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett missed the second young master’s wife, so they came to visit. It was the first young master’s wife who received them.” The butler was a smart person. There were some things that he did not know. Although he could guess at what happened, he only said what he knew.

Old Master Cross looked at Sarah, who had been beaten black and blue by Aria. “What did you do?”

Sarah narrowed his eyes and saw the anger in her father-in-law’s eyes. She was a little scared. Ever since Aria entered the house, the Cross family had not been peaceful.

Aria returned to the bedroom. She wiped the gifts that her parents had brought and placed them in the corner. Dominic then entered the room and asked, “What happened between you and sister-in-law?”

Aria ignored Dominic and went to the bathroom to wash her face. She only came out after ten minutes. During this time, dominic had been quietly sitting on the sofa, waiting for her to come out. Dominic saw that she did not want to bother with him, so he got up and left.

Dominic went back downstairs and called for the maid who had spoken first. She was the one who had immediately reported that Aria had hit her when she saw Old Master cross appear.

Dominic looked down at the obedient maid and asked in a cold voice, “Who attacked first?”

“It really was second young madam who attacked first. Young master, many people saw it just now. It was indeed the second young madam who attacked the first young madam,” the maid replied nervously.

There was no doubt that the servants of the Cross family were afraid of Dominic. Although he was not at home all year round, the servants in the family understood his temper completely.
