The landscape was getting further and further away. We were so high up now that the ground didn’t even seem like ground anymore. It was as though it was a separate place and I could not fall to it anyway. I was no longer in an environment, I was looking at a world. Or, at least that’s the way it felt to me. Above us the air was the same color as always. I half expected it to be darker, like a twilight. But now. The ground was resolving itself into a curved surface. We were so high up that its spherical nature was becoming apparent. “Where are we going?” I said. “You’ll see.” I was in the sky. That thought made me think of being in a dream.
