Jon had the knife in his hand and had that serious look on his face. King Jared noticed he looked more serious than usual and so did General Cameron at his own table some paces from King Jared’s. Jon held the knife in such a way that the steel won’t gleam under the moonlight or reflect the light from the bonfires and get noticed before he got to his target. King Jared noticed there was something in Jon’s hand and coupled with the look on the young man’s face he was on his feet almost immediately, he had reflexively sensed the danger and gotten to his feet to give himself a better chance of fighting and protecting himself.
