It's been four long, hard days since we left that place, and I can honestly say I don't think I have seen tallie any happier than she is at this moment. Tallie and i are playing in some wild tall grass. taking a break from running. Marco.... polo, she was close, Marco... polo. BOO. HEDDIE don't scare me like that tallie said. oh, I'm sorry, my little one. I laughed as she threw her hands up in the air it's not fair you always find me she huffed. oh my little one, I will always find you. I'm getting tired, heddie, "she said as she rubbed her little eyes, ok my little one, why don't we rest under that big tree over there. standing alone in an open field of wild grass and flowers was a tall oak tree.wow tallie gasp its beautiful isn't it I said tallie just nodded her little head.ok little one time to rest as I said as I pulled the blanket out of the backpack. I folded the blanket in half like a sleeping bag for tallie. climb in, I said as I sat down with my back, leaning on the tree beside her so she could use my leg as a pillow. heddie tallie spoke sheepishly. yes, little one. I love you she said my heart turned into a puddle of mush. I love you too little one. tallie was now fast asleep she looked so peaceful that she doesnt deserve this life she deserves the world and so much more. I opened the backpack and pulled out the envelope that I had taken from my mother's room. I inhaled deeply hear goes nothing I thought to myself as I opened it I pulled out the letter inside a picture and fell out of the letter. I picked it up and looked at it. it was of a man I had never seen before, I examined the picture closely I gasped as I looked at the hand in the picture it was my mother her birth mark it was small but unique it looked like two birds flying. suddenly, I was snapped out of my thoughts as tallie started to move and whine in her sleep another nightmare. shh little one im here im here it's ok I said while running my hand throw her hair. she settled back down after a few sort seconds. I went back to the picture and the letter I placed the picture back in the envelope and started to read the letter. To my dear heddie I'm so sorry I had to leave you and tallie you see I am sick and I know I won't be coming back home. their is something I need to tell you. I am not what you think I am. I am what you call a hybrid part witch part wolf I have also been keeping another secret from you that I wish I didn't have to but tallies father John is not your biological father I hope one day you can forgive me for keeping these secrets to myself the man in the picture that is your father sweet heart I love you and tallie please watch over her until I see you again one day all my love, mum I held the letter close to my chest as I silently sobbed. what did she mean by part witch part wolf those things are from fairytales. who was my father? Why did she keep him a secret ? That is why I live under constant fear with John all those years. This is a lot to take in. i wiped my silent tears away and placed the picture and letter back in the envelope and folded it and placed it in my bra for safe, keeping like I did when I needed to hide money from John. It started to get dark, and the wind started to whistle through the tall wild grass.i closed my eyes and let darkness consume me. heddie, wake up, wake up heddie. OK OK I'm up. im up, I say as I yawn and stretch its rough sleeping sitting up, but anything for my little one. heddie, I really need to go to the bathroom tallie said while jumping up and down. OK, little one goes behind the tree, and I will pack up. she ran behind the tree and I heard a sigh. I laughed at how innocent she was. I'm done heddie she said ok little one let's go I help my hand out for her hand but the quickly went in my pocket for my hand wipes that I grabbed from the kitchen before we left and wiped tallies little hands clean heddie, I'm hungry. tallie said OK little one, we will walk to the next town over throw the woodlands, and we will eat then ok." ok, she huffed while dragging her feet. come on, tallie, please hurry up. we are nearly there. I said she sprung up like a frog with excitement ready for food.
