Nadia's POV I repeated Kaleb's question, but the words felt foreign in my mouth. I stood in the shadow of the High Council building, the morning sun stinging my eyes. "Kaleb, that's ridiculous. He's spent weeks acting like I'm a ghost in his own house. He wants his 'True Mate' back, or at least he wants to keep his promise to her. Why would he stall?"
