Chapter 15 Learning and observation

In between the heavy labor, Lily secretly started her journey to learn the knowledge and skills of werewolves with the desire for the future in her heart.

Whenever night fell, and the clan members fell into a tired slumber after a day's labor, Lily quietly got up, and by the faint moonlight, she opened the ancient book she had secretly borrowed from the elders of the clan. The scroll contained the mysterious knowledge of werewolves, and the obscure words seemed to be a puzzle waiting for her to solve. Her eyes were glued to the pages of the book, her expression focused and persistent, not letting go of any subtle point of knowledge.

Sometimes, in order to better understand the contents of the book, Lily would hide in the corner of the woods under the full moon and observe the adult werewolves transforming under the moonlight. Their bodies were undergoing marvelous changes, their bones were stretching, their hairs were sprouting, and their power was exploding in an instant, Lily paid close attention to every detail, and felt the surge of power and the changing pattern of their bodies with her heart.

In the daytime, during the process of labor, Lily also did not forget to observe the skills of other werewolves. For example, when hunting, how those experienced werewolves keenly sensed the scent of their prey, how they approached silently, and then struck swiftly. She silently memorized these skills in her mind, waiting for the opportunity to practice them on her own.

Once, Lily was practicing her transformation in secret when she accidentally made a noise, attracting the guards on patrol. She hurriedly hid in the bushes, her heart beating like a drum, not daring to breathe. Luckily, the guards didn't find her and she escaped. But this frightening experience didn't make her give up; instead, it made her more cautious.

As time passed, Lily's knowledge and skills continued to accumulate. She learned how to control her breath, how to recognize directions in the forest, and how to use the environment to hide herself. However, she knew that these were not enough.

So she began to approach a kindly old man in her clan. Although the old man was old, he possessed a wealth of werewolf knowledge and experience, and Lily often helped him with whatever work he could do and asked him for advice. The old man was impressed by her sincerity and desire to learn, and would give her some guidance and advice when no one else was around.

By chance, Lily discovered a secret training ground hidden in a cave. There were all kinds of training equipment and simulated battle scenes. Since then, she often slipped into the cave when no one was around to train herself. She kept repeating the movements of running, jumping, and attacking, and her clothes were soaked with sweat, but she still refused to stop.

After a long time of hard work, Lily's progress became more and more obvious. She was able to master the techniques of transformation more skillfully, and her strength and speed also increased significantly. However, she still didn't dare to show her strength in front of the crowd, and could only continue to work hard in secret.

However, there is no impermeable wall in the world. One day, Lily accidentally left some traces during her training, which aroused the suspicion of some people in the clan. They began to investigate in secret, trying to find out the mysterious figure who was secretly studying.

One silent night, Lily sneaks into the cave to train again. Just as she was concentrating on practicing, she suddenly heard footsteps. Her heart was in her throat and she hid in a corner, not daring to breathe. In came the old man who had helped her before. The old man looked at her with no reproach in his eyes, but only deep understanding and encouragement. He told Lily to believe in herself and that one day her efforts would be recognized by everyone.

With the old man's support, Lily became even more determined in her beliefs. She knew that although this path of learning and observation was full of hardships, as long as she persevered, she would be able to usher in her own light.
