The Meeting

“The longer it takes you to make this decision, the longer it will take you to rebuild what I am going to burn. I am a very patient man when it comes to these things. I've given you almost two whole minutes to make your decision but it seems you don’t care about my consideration.” Kwan said with his left hand placed on top of his golden nine millimeter pistol. “No sir, I have my decision… me and my men will fully merge our forces and weapons with yours. I can wholeheartedly promise my mens loyalty to “The Men” for the rest of their lives.” The man said as he stretched his hand out hoping for a hand shake. “Well that sounds wonderful,” Kwan said, completely ignoring the man's stretched hand. “However, you are missing the point of our new arrangement. This will not be a merger, this will be a full submission for all of you. The men who work for you will no longer be yours, they will all belong to me and so will you for that matter. You will be stripped of whatever futile rank you once had within your organization, and given the same treatment and rank as every other Easy Man I own.” Kwan said sternly. Angrily the man snatched his hand away and smacked it down on the table. “How can I be stripped of my title? I am THEE Don Hwang Moon, I have fought all my life to reach where I am today. Just for you to “strip it away” and place me in the lowest ranking tier in your system? NO! My men and I will submit to your forces but I will keep my position as their Don, that’s my only demand.” Don Moon told Kwan folding his arms, practically leaving no room for discussion. “Well seeing that you have already misunderstood your place today I can’t allow you to do it again. You are in no position to be making demands nor will you ever be again.” Kwan said as he slightly tilted his head to the left giving the “go-ahead” for his men to kill Hwang Moon. Before Hwang Moon could make eye contact with Kwan a large smoking bullet size hole appeared in his forehead. With a loud thump Moon’s body fell to the floor spilling out blood. Annoyed and unfazed, Kwan fixed his tie and stood up to leave the room. Before he could take one step out the door his personal phone began to ring. He waved his hand for the other man to leave the room as he knew it was his grandmother calling him as she is the only one who is allowed to call him directly. Quickly the man drug Moon’s body out of the door and left. Once the room was empty he cleared his throat a couple of times and finally answered the phone. “Hello Kwanee can you hear me?” Kwan’s grandmother asked him over the phone. “Ne, jal deullibnida. Halmeoni gal junbi dwaess-eo?''Yes I can hear you. (Grandma, are you ready to go?) Kwan asked sweetly. “Yes I ready, the cleaning lady helped me pack so I am all done now. Kwanee I want you to speak English with me, I need to practice it better okay. My teacher told me that I should have more practice outside of our lessons.” “Whatever you like.” He told her. “Also today I also went shopping and I have a wonderful hat I want you to see and I bought a new brooch I think you will love, it has your favorite stone in it too emerald!” Kwan’s grandmother said in excitement. “ I would love to look at your-” Kwan was cut off by the sound of a woman’s voice. “HEYY, HELP….HELP….HELP..!” “DON’T MOVE.” “Halmeoni, do not leave your room until Lucela or I come and get you,Okay?” (Grandma). He told her calmly before hanging up the phone. Quickly he yanked the office door open in search of where he heard the screaming coming from. As he walked through the large halls men began to line up in front and behind him, as still the sounds of a woman screaming could be heard in the background.
