Charles's eyes flickered. He said calmly, "I knew they had been to visit Aunt Jennie and I always wanted to deal with it in a peaceful manner. I just never thought that they were so persistent or would actually injure Aunt Jennie.”
Elena sighed. When Sharon said it was related to Charles, she couldn't help but make a lot of assumptions. However, it turned out that it was a simple situation and now that Jennie was injured, Charles would definitely blame himself.
"Let's eat." Charles said trying to change the subject, "Tomorrow we will go see her."
"Yeah." Elena nodded.
Just as they were finishing dinner, Charles received a call from Jennie.
"Charles," Jennie asked, "Did Elena tell you everything?"
"You should've called to tell me." Charles sighed.
"I was afraid to inconvenience you.”
