Chapter 9- Got The Wrong Person

775 Words
Samuel came to the door of the office to give Charles a coat. He just delivered pants to Charles the other day and now a coat. Samuel couldn’t help but wonder what happened to Charles recently? Will Charles have him deliver a full set of clothes next time? Someone called him when Samuel got to the door. "Sir, please wait a second." It was Winnie. Samuel stopped and looked at the woman in front of him, precisely, looked at the coat in her hands. Samuel was very familiar with the coat, because it was Charles's. Did the president take off his coat for this girl? She seemed very ordinary. Winnie's held the coat in her hands and when Samuel looked at her, she looked at Samuel with the same curiosity. Winnie said, "I just met a girl. She said that her dress was broken. Fortunately, a good-hearted person took off his coat and helped her out. But she is not available now, so she sent me to help return the coat. Does this coat belong to you?" So, it wasn’t for this girl that Mr. President took off his coat. Samuel couldn’t say whether he was disappointed or not. "Give me the coat." Samuel reached out his hand. Since the girl didn't know Charles's identity, he would naturally not disclose any information. "Are you that man?" Winnie asked suspiciously. "Yes, give it to me." Samuel said again. When Samuel picked up the coat, Winnie suddenly raised her right hand. With the coat blocking Samuel's vision, Winnie pressed the switch on the defensive spray. As a pungent smell rushed towards his face, Samuel screamed. The next moment, Winnie grabbed the coat from Samuel's hands and put it directly on his head! Winnie could not have been any ruder. She attacked Samuel with a storm of punches and said, "You degenerate son of b***h! That's what you get when you piss off a lady!" Samuel couldn't open his eyes at all, his throat was burning. He could only try hard to dodge the punches from Winnie. "Elena!" Winnie yelled. Elena rushed out of the corner of the corridor. Elena knew Charles would definitely be alerted if she came herself, so she asked Winnie to deliver the coat. In fact, Elena did not expect such an easy win and Charles could have been gone. She was just trying her luck. And if their plan didn't work out, she would scream for help and then with Winnie say that Charles was a p*****t trying to offend them. But it turned out he took the bait so easily. Elena didn't think much. She quickly rushed to Samuel's side and gave a heavy punch on his belly. Samuel crouched over in pain. Elena pulled off the coat wrapped on his head, prepared to give him a few more slaps. Elena was stunned. "Who is this guy?" "What's wrong with you, Elena? Revenge!" Winnie hurriedly said. Elena grabbed Winnie and ran and said, "Let's get out of here. We got the wrong person!" Charles heard the movement in the room. He opened the door of the office and saw Elena escaping from afar. He was a bit surprised, but he soon figured out what happened when he saw Samuel squatting at the door, groaning. Charles felt angry and amused at the same time. He quickly took Samuel to the bathroom. After washing them for a long time, Samuel's eyes finally recovered. "Mr. President, why did they attack me?" Samuel asked innocently. He just came here to deliver a coat! "Sorry, Samuel." Charles apologized very sincerely, "Their target must be me. But I don't know why they mistook you for me." Samuel was speechless. So, he took the bullet for his master. "I will arrange for someone to send you to the hospital later. This is a work-related injury." Charles sighed and said, "You have two days off, and I will give you a paid leave." "Mr. President, it's no big deal, just a scratch..."Samuel said. "Samuel, just accept it." Charles said with a little embarrassment, "Other than that, I can not compensate you more." Samuel suddenly understood that it was a compensation for the attack he received. After looking at the situation, Charles did not intend to look for the girls. Samuel was somewhat surprised. Samuel clearly knew about his president's temper, since he had been serving Charles for a long time. Charles was usually generous to everyone. However, if anyone took advantage of him, Charles would smile and bury them. But this time...Charles actually planned to let it go? Samuel could not say anything else since Mr. President made the decision.
