His Unwanted Bride

Late nights' work

Clary's POV :

***1 week before the wedding***

It's been about a month since the engagement night and ever since that night things between me and Leon have been better. We have gotten closer , spent more time together. He even started coming home early to spend time with me even if he had to work from home. Like that one time, he was working very late and was very angry and I woke up , talked with him and ended up helping him work .

I woke up to the sound of something breaking downstairs and it was followed by the sound of someone cursing. I looked at the time and it was really late, so it couldn't be Leon as he is usually sleeping by that time . I decided to go check it out . I got up and started going down the stairs. As I went down the stairs, I heard someone talking . I am so scared right now. What if it was a thief or a murderer ? Oh god, I have to wake Leon up , but surely he is tired.

I decided to go down myself and see what was happening, so I got the nearest thing to me as I went down the stairs . But as soon as I come closer to him , he turns out and turns out to be Leon .

" God ! You scared me Leon !" I said as I put down the vase that I picked up. " I thought you were a thief or murderer or something. "

He looked at me confused, then at the vase, then started laughing " So if I was a murderer you were going to kill me with that vase ?" he asked while he was laughing.

"Stop , I didn't know what else to do " I said, as I started laughing as well.

"What are you doing up this late ?" I asked him after we stopped laughing.

He sighed and said "I have this important project that is due tomorrow and if we don't win the project the company will be in a bad position. "

I nodded and told him " How about I go get you something to drink and calm down and then after that I can help you with this project?"

He looks at me confused and says "How will you help me ? What do you even know about these things ?"

I laugh at his question and say "I think you'll be surprised by how much I know about these things .Because I was growing up my father taught me everything about our company and this fields of work, because he wanted to prepare me to take over the company,, since I'm the only heir to his company but as I grew up I, did,n't like this field of work and preferred to work in designing fashion so I decided to work in my mother's company but that doesn't mean I'm not experienced or professional . You know I was taught by the best ."

" Ok . Let's see then ."

I poured some wine and we started working. We stayed up all night working on this project and once he was satisfied with the result, we called it a night .

Today is the day that the result of that project will be decided , so today they will decide whether our company will take the project or another company will take it . I'm waiting impatiently for this meeting to end . I even call his secretary every few minutes to ask her if he had finished his meeting, but until now he hasn't finished, even though he told me that it would end at 12 and now it's 1 o'clock, so I'm waiting for him to call me .

After a few minutes

I received a call from Leon.

" Tell me how did it go ?" I asked as soon as I picked up the phone call.

He laughed and said " It went really well Clary . We took the project "

"Told you learned from the best "I said.

"Well, I definitely got the best . I can't tell you how grateful I am to you for helping me ", he said, and I blushed at his words.

" I didn't do anything , that was all you. All I did was help a little. "

" I wouldn't have done it without you , thank you Clary " he said.

" No need to thank me . Congratulations Leon"

" Anyway, I'll see you at home so we can celebrate together. "

"OK, bye see you. "

"Bye "

How about I surprise him now ?
