Chapter 25 EL PASO, TEXAS (Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, 10 p.m.) — Mac sat by the window in the hotel room, reading through the documents that had caused so much grief. A small lamp was angled just at the table in front of him, protecting Kristy from the light. Mac put the pages down, rubbed his eyes. For the life of me, I cannot see what is worth all this trouble, he thought. He no longer believed Parker had panicked, over-reacted.
