They found Zoey Chen sitting in a lawn chair on the far side of a garden pond filled with goldfish. The pond, and the area immediately around the pond, was a circular opening enclosed by a wall of Hydrangea bushes. Blue, white, and dull yellow Hydrangea flowers covered the dark green bushes. The only path leading into the circular enclave were red bricks set in large squares, with a large V pattern of white bricks inlaid into the squares and pointing the way forward. In the middle of the pond was a large cupid, hands holding a bow, head lifted, with a large volume of water coming out of the statue’s mouth in a pleasing arc of falling water. Shoulder to shoulder, the two walked down the path and entered the open space, sport coats unbuttoned, the heels of their shoes falling on the stones
