DIANA'S POV
I turn twenty today but I am not as excited as I'm supposed to be, I remember my birthday as the day of my parents' death. It's been two years and I've not celebrated my birthday, I do not have a betrothed as well. I was crowned queen two years ago without a betrothed but that is even the least of my problems. I miss my parents that's all I know. My advisors have been on my neck asking me to find a husband who will eventually become the king of the Ice Kingdom but the question I always ask myself is if I am not enough for the kingdom, after all what a man can do a woman can better but all the same, I'm still trusted by some of the advisors. My only concern here is to have a child (successor) who will succeed the throne when I'm no more so I think I will only find a man when I'm ready to have a child but for now the kingdom comes first.
Hey! I am startled by my friend Nancy, my queen what's up for the day? it's your birthday remember? You can't keep sulking like this every single year, said Nancy. I looked her into her eyes and smiled. What am I expected to do on a tragic day as this? Don't say that. Nancy protests. Nancy has always been one to have this working in her favour. There is this new pub down the street, it's on the border, can we go there? in fact get dressed and let's go, without protesting I get a change of cloth and follow Nancy to the pub.
JOSHUA'S POV
I'm in my apartment looking around and thinking of how I'm going to miss my freedom since I'm graduating today from the university, this only means no more freedom and more years of the strict rules of my parents especially my dad. I head home with my right hand man Marcus. Marcus suggests that we buy some drinks at a newly opened pub by the border of the Ice kingdom. I didn't like the idea at first but I agreed to it, my disagreement was as a result of me being the prince of the fire kingdom these two kingdoms have never seen eye to eye since the ages of our fore fathers . Its just by the border not in the kingdom I say to myself, and what else is there to loose? We can only be identified when our eyes change colour other than that we are just humans. Upon our entry, I noticed a damsel sitting at the far corner of the pub with a lady I presume to be her friend. Wow I muttered, her beauty just paused the hands of time that I didn't realise when Marcus passed by me to take the next available seat. Marcus do you know the lady by the window? the one in blue, I asked Marcus and he didn't seem to know her. Who is this pretty lady I asked myself. She got up and left with her friend. I will see will you again were the last words to my self.
