Viktoria POV When Kaden asks me out to lunch again, I surprise myself by saying yes. His eyes widen, that grin of his stretching across his face like he just won something impossible. “You mean it?” he asks, smiling, squinting at me as if he doesn't believe it. “Yes,” I say, lifting a brow. “I mean it.” Of course, he doesn't know the real reason I’m agreeing. It’s not because I suddenly trust him or enjoy his company—though I do, a little. It’s because I have questions about his relationship with Marco's family. I'm curious about his friendship with them.
