Viktoria POV
Kaden asks me what the note says, and instead of answering, I just hand it to him. His eyes skim over the question:
“Who told you to leave?”
“Just tell him,” he says, “and it will be the end of Kyra's scheme.”
“I can't.”
“Sure.”
He returns the note to me and says no more. He starts the car and pulls out of the restaurant parking lot. As he drives away, I peer at the double doors of the restaurant one more time. He's in there eating lunch with Kyra, not knowing she is the one he should be asking this question.
