Viktoria POV Heads turn as I come out of the room. I can feel their eyes burning into my back—some curious, some pitying, most pretending not to stare. The doors slam shut behind me and opens again as Lucille and Kyra rush back inside with a retinue of servants. Lucille’s panicked voice and the scuffle of footsteps rushing into the room follows me as I stumble away. Of course, they would run to him. They always do. He's their gem. He's my curse.
