ALERT!!! 2

The room fell silent as the man held me hostage, the sharp blade was right before my throat. Panic surged through me, but I tried to stay composed. I glanced at Jace, whose eyes widened in concern. “You all should drop your weapons”. “Drop the goddamn guns”, he said when no one showed sign of compliance. They all responded except Alexander. Alexander's face contorted with a mix of anger and frustration. "Who the hell are you, and what do you want?" he growled. The masked man chuckled, his grip on me tightening. "Well, well, well, if it isn't the great Alexander Salvatore. I've heard so much about you.", he said with a Mexican accent. Alexander's eyes narrowed. "Cut the crap and state your business." The man grinned, revealing a set of menacing teeth. "Business, you say? Let's call it a reckoning. A long-overdue settling of scores." I tried to assess the situation, my mind racing to find a way out of this dangerous predicament. The man seemed like he had a personal vendetta against Alexander, but he kept the details out. "Release her," Jace demanded, his voice dripping with authority. The man's laughter echoed through the room. "Oh, I don't think so. You see, I've come prepared. This," he gestured to the dagger, "is coated with a special toxin. One wrong move, and she's as good as dead." “Do you remember a young boy of 14, three years ago, who you took hostage?.” “Can you be more specific?”, Alexander said with a chillax look. He snickered, “They’re so many people that have gone through similar experiences that you’ve lost count. But this time I’ve come to avenge Alberto”. “Who’s Alberto?”, Alexander asked taunting him. I felt him grow angrier. The tension in the room escalated. I felt the cold edge of the blade against my skin, each passing moment heightening the sense of dread. Alexander glanced at Jace, silently communicating a plan. Jace nodded imperceptibly. "Let her go, and we can talk. There's no need for violence," Alexander urged, attempting to diffuse the situation. The man seemed amused by Alexander's attempt at negotiation. "Talk? We passed that point a long time ago, Salvatore. It's time for you to face the consequences of your actions." As the standoff continued, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. Lucas moved stealthily as he reached for a vase on the wall. “I need a way to leave. Ready a car with the engine turned on, and you The man saw where I was looking and fixed his gaze on Lucas, leaving a loop hole. Jace, with a swift and unexpected move, made a sudden dash towards the man. The element of surprise worked in his favor, catching the assailant off guard. Jace with a kick, managed to swerve the dagger and pulled me to himself. Immediately, he pulled out an Uzi and started shooting towards Jace and I. A bullet grazed Jace’s arm. I screamed as he kept on moving me towards an overturned couch. “Are you okay?”, I asked him immediately we had some breathing space. He replied me by taking off his tie and using it to tie his injured arm. He then brought out a gun and shot towards the direction the masked man was standing. In the blink of an eye, the living room was filled with armed men, all dressed in black uniforms and masks. They we’re all fully armed. The woman who was captured also broke free from the hold of Alexander’s bodyguards and knocked them down. She was tossed a gun from one of the intruders. All the other workers who were armed with guns also took to their positions. Even the chef, was armed still wearing his chef hat. Bullets echoed through the mansion like angry bees. Jace, Lucas, and Alexander, armed to the teeth, faced off against the woman, the kidnapper, and their reinforcements. It was a chaotic dance, people ducking behind furniture, guns blazing, and an occasional curse word thrown into the mix. Jace, with his stern face, fired shots like he was in some action movie. He had the aim of a hawk, never missing a beat. Bullets whizzed past him, but he dodged just like cat. Lucas, though looks young but, he was a force to reckon with. His movements were swift, almost like he was dancing through the chaos. He took cover, then popped up, firing rounds like he owned the place. Alexander, well, he was a storm. His eyes blazed with fury, and he commanded the Salvatore workers like a general leading his troops. "Round them up!" he barked, and they moved with precision. Amidst the gunfire, the woman fought with a cold determination. She moved like a shadow, dodging bullets with unnerving ease. The kidnapper, a burly figure, seemed like he had biceps on top of his biceps. The air was thick with tension, and the scent of gunpowder lingered. It was like a wild west showdown, but with more tailored suits. In the midst of the chaos, I clung to a piece of furniture, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. Bullets whizzed past me, and I realized this was no place for the faint-hearted. The Salvatore workers, usually calm and collected, transformed into warriors. They fired with all their s**t, protecting their turf. Suddenly, the tide shifted. More armed people poured in. They were for the Salvatores. They made the intruders felt like they were fighting a never-ending wave. It was like a scene from a blockbuster movie, only without the scripted lines. The woman, with a sly smile, gestured to her comrades. They pushed forward, still seeing if they had a ray of hope to overcome the Salvatores. The act resulted in many of them being shot down. The smell of blood filled the place. Jace, always the strategist, yelled, "Round them up! We're winning!" The intruders retreated, firing shots as they went. Bullets peppered the walls, leaving scars on the once pristine mansion. As they regrouped, the woman seized the opportunity. With a speed that caught everyone off guard, she grabbed me and held a gun to my head. "Game over, Salvatores!" she taunted. The room fell silent, the only sound was my racing heartbeat. “Shoot them all”, the voice came. It was Alexander. His men all took another look at him to make sure they heard well. “I said shoot them all”, he repeated quietly. “You think I give a f**k about her?”, he said pointing to me “You must be joking then if you think you could actually use her to get me!”, he said with a laugh. “We can’t do that, boss”, Jace voice came right in. It was basically a ruffle between the two of them. Jace looked like he was ready to disobey Alexander. All his men also didn’t move a muscle. The woman dragged me towards the exit, her grip firm. The Salvatores, in a tight corner because of me, had no choice but to back up. The world outside was a blur as she shoved me into a waiting car. The engine roared to life, and we sped away, leaving the mansion behind. I stole a glance back, the grand Salvatore estate shrinking in the distance. The other vehicles of the intruders followed closely. The woman's voice broke through my thoughts, "You're in for a wild ride, Isabella. Welcome to the other side", she said taking off her mask.
