Rampage

“Yo, check this one out!” The janitor removed his headphone and gave them to his assistant. 

“Brother, I don’t listen to hardstyle music. You know it, and I would appreciate it if you didn’t force it on me.” His assistant said and rolled his eyes in disgust. 

“Well, to each his own. But you gotta listen to this one, though.” The janitor said and forcefully put his headphones on his companion’s ears. 

“I swear to god, if you were not my childhood friend, your corpse would be lying here.” the assistant said and adjusted the headphones. 

“You know what, this one is actually pretty cool...” the man said, turning around while swaying his hands in the air. 

The blade went right through his throat and came out from the other side. The janitor pulled it out again, and blood came pouring out like red wine. 

“f*****g humans and their terrible taste in frequencies. Well...” the janitor said as his eyes turned from blue to red slowly. 

The man increased five inches in height, and a holster was clearly visible on his back. As he walked in the hallway of the StarGaze ground station menacingly, the guard in the control room noticed him. 

“Hey there, aren’t you supposed to be cleaning the entrance? Damn, you got big.” The guard said, coming out of the strong room. 

The janitor did not reply, and he just went right past the man and into the room. He took out something blue in color and looked like an earthworm. He threw it on the control panel as the guard confronted him. 

“What the f**k is that thing?! Are you high again motherfucker?!” the guard said and grabbed his hand. 

As he jerked the hand to turn the crazy man around, a big right hand came right at his face. Luckily, he was a martial artist. He backed off, almost falling. 

“Nice try b***h, now it’s on!” Jack the black belt said and pounced on the janitor in front of him. 

The fists crashed around, but the janitor didn’t seem to take much notice of his broken ribs. Blood gushed out of his mouth, but he still had a plain face. Finally, a chop on the heart did the job. 

The cardiac arrest was sucking the living life out of him, but he just went down with a grim look on his face, all the while trying to get back up on his tender legs. But he went out cold in a matter of seconds. 

“The f**k!” jack said in shock as he realized what he had just done. 

He turned around in desperation, trying to find out what it was that the janitor believed was worth dying for. And to his horror, he laid eyes upon the first wave of ‘blue spruce,’ the living breathing virus that would single-handedly take down world communication. 

The single creature that looked like a blue earthworm had grown numerous roots and was inside every single computer wiring of the strong room. As Jack tried to contemplate what was going on, he felt something crawling up his neck. He tried to grab it in desperation with his hands, but the slick creature made it to the insides of his ear. 

“AAAH!!!” Jack screamed at the top of his voice as the ‘thing’ burned a hole through his eardrum, essentially making him pass out. 

As the lights inside the station went dim, Jack the black belt rose with a bluish glow in his eyes. The grin widened and showed the black teeth inside his mouth. He rapidly moved his eyes around and looked at the security monitor screens, analyzing his targets. 

On the other hand, the blue spruce had already started doing its work and seeped into the vents. As the people tried to make sense of what was going on with the lights, death silently dropped on their heads and made its way into their bodies. 

As Jack came out stumbling, the screaming started across the building. Mutilated bodies were lying around as Jack went from floor to floor; eyes gouged out, intestines spread all around, and limbs ripped apart. 

“Please, help me!” A doctor said, holding his cut-out hand in the other one. 

Jack stopped and looked the doctor up and down, and that’s when the poor man realized it. 

“f**k! You are one of them.” the doctor said and turned around to run, but Jack’s wrists were quicker. 

His palm went through the doctor’s hair and grabbed his jaw. He ripped the upper skull from the lower one, ending the misery of the older man. 

“No, please!” He heard a woman scream when he went up to the fourth floor. 

He went to see what the ruckus was about and found out that a female astronaut was all suited up and currently standing halfway on an open window. 

“No, don’t come closer, I beg of you. I thought you were my friends.” Urvashi said and started crying. 

As Jack tore through the crowd of emotionless zombies and reached out his hand, Urvashi made peace with her being and let go of the window. The body turned into a pulp when it hit the solid concrete on the ground below.

Jack nodded at the others, and all the zombies inside the room started navigating towards ground zero. Jack put in the codes as they stood outside the locked metal doors, but the gates did not open.

The thing was that the command center had its own power station and algorithms. Although it was inside the stations, it operated independently in case of an attack, just like this one.

But the blue spruce didn't come all this way just to let it get stopped by some measly metal doors. Jack took out the shining metal balls from the holster he recovered from the janitor.

As soon as he threw the balls on the door, they turned to liquid and started eating the metal out. Before long, the people inside the humongous room were clinching to their seats as metal poured down like molten lava.

As the hole intensified, the blue eyes monsters showed off their black teeth with wide grins on their faces. The cutting and yelling were brutal but were over in a moment. People ran around to save their lives and hide, but their hunters were too smart and well-coordinated. Before long, blood was spattered on the walls, and bodies lied around with their parts missing.

Commander Greer walked up to the platform with a red glow in his eyes and saliva drooling down from his lips. The cameras and satellites were prepared, and it was time for the first contact.
