Another show started and it was a beautiful Tuesday morning. Nah, I’m just kidding. It was like a f*****g storm, winds blowing at raging speeds and the visibility was low. Thomas was standing on the roof of a café, waiting for his target to arrive. He had been sitting there for two hours, coming early to keep up with the ever-changing schedule. Thomas knew that Aram was a trustworthy man, but he wasn’t sure if Jamaila was stupid enough to fall into his trap. After all, she was the same woman that managed to capture four of their agents and almost caught another four. So the least Thomas could do was to be careful, because seeing an American wouldn’t be a friendly sight. And after another hour of waiting, Thomas finally saw a Mercedes pull up downstairs. But it wasn’t her. The doors opened and some men in civil uniforms walked out. they positioned themselves all around the alley, and Thomas knew they were the undercover soldiers Aram was talking about. He quickly used Zeus to tag the soldiers and went behind cover to avoid getting spotted. Then he spawned a compact long-range taser shooter, to use when the time was right. Soon after, Thomas saw Aram’s car entering the alley. The woman was sitting right beside him, wearing a cover on her face to avoid getting spotted by enemies. But Thomas was suspicious. What if this wasn’t her, but only a decoy she used to be on the safe side? But that’s a risk you have to take. And after fifteen long minutes, Thomas knew it was time to make a move. He mounted a 3X scope on his taser gun and aimed at the farthest guy. Now if you are in the business as long as Thomas, you kinda know that if a guard is undercover, he will be checking in to his commander every five minutes. And in case he fails to check-in, there would be security raining in from all directions. So Thomas’ best bet was to do everything within five minutes. The dart wasn’t fast compared to a bullet, but it was fast enough to reach the man standing a hundred meters away, pretending to read a newspaper. What is it with undercover and newspapers? If you read the same page for an hour straight, it makes it kind of obvious that you’re either a retard or not really focused on the paper. The man didn’t move, his body just went into shock and he froze just as he was. Now Thomas shifted his attention to the one sipping a cup of coffee for the last ten minutes. The cup fell from his hand and he stood just like he was, hand in air and eyes wide open like he had just seen a ghost. The third one was disguised as a homeless man, sleeping under a blanket on the footpath. Thomas made sure he was sound asleep. The rest of the guards followed in their footsteps. Now it was time to pay the b***h a visit. Thomas took out his pistol and jumped down from the roof, landing right in front of the glass entrance. There was no back door inside the café, so Thomas just walked right in with the piece of metal flashing in his hand. The man standing beside the door came into action, guess he was another undercover one. The private meetings with Aram were not that private after all. He took out the knife from his back pocket and thrust it at Thomas’ throat. But Thomas was as ready as he could ever be, so he just snatched the knife and stuck it inside the man’s chest. Jamaila was alarmed and she knew there was no way to go. But she had faith in Aram, so she hid behind his back. “Step aside, bro. She’s coming with me, the deal stands.” Thomas said when he was standing right in front of his partner in the deed. Aram simply grabbed Jamaila’s hand and threw her at Thomas. Oh, I can’t describe how satisfying it was to watch the look on her face when the master betrayer got a taste of her own medicine. “Aram! You….?” Jamaila said, refusing to believe the reality. “Yes, me! What did you expect after all you have done? You tried to kill my wife because you thought that would make me love you?! You are the lowest person I have ever met.” Aram said. Jamaila was at a loss for words. And Thomas didn’t have time for all the hatred and bullshit, so he just cut to the end and shot Aram in the face. Aram’s eyes were wider than ever just before Thomas pulled the trigger, and Jamaila was equally shocked. It was cold to shoot a partner, even for her. “Why would you do that?!” She screamed and started crying. “I can’t trust a rat, and I also don’t leave any loose ends. But I am an honorable man, I’ll keep my deal with him.” Thomas said and injected the woman with a sleep inducer. But things don’t always go as planned, and Thomas was almost sure that a s**t storm was on its way to him. And as a matter of fact, it was. And it was in the form of seventeen SUVs with specially trained soldiers in each. They were trained especially to react quickly in a situation of k********g. Thomas was finished, there was no way he could take on loads of men without using the time freeze. And he couldn’t use it, because it would mean that the agency will find out about his rebellion. And that would be worse than death, trust me. and hence, Thomas was finished. Or, was he? “Okay, time for you people to take the lead while I take care of this disgrace of a woman!” Thomas said, lifting Jamaila on his shoulders. Come on bro, you really didn’t expect that Thomas would be alone on a critical mission like this. The senator was watching the other four agents, so it was obvious they couldn’t be seen in the area. But they took a drone under their control. Yeah, that was about to blow the convoy to kingdom come. As soon as the cars entered the alley, they had to face the wrath of a hellfire missile, which blew up the first four black SUVs before they could even react. The rest knew it wasn’t worth the trouble, so they quickly backed off. But the agents were in no mood to let them go. The drone caught up with the fleeting enemies and fired the machine gun. The rail of bullets tore through the roofs and splattered blood all over the expensive interiors. Man, it was a sight to see. The last remaining car was spared to go and deliver the message. If a US drone destroys the cars, who do you think would have kidnapped the senator’s daughter? Yeah exactly, that was the masterstroke from the agents’ side. By evening, Thomas was in his safe house. He made sure he wasn’t followed and when he locked Jamaila up in the master bedroom, he unlocked Tara and Akram. "How is any of that related even remotely to what we are doing here right now?" Raghav asked at last. "Nah, I just felt like bragging," Thomas said and got comfortable on the floor.
