Fisher hated waving to Stacey as she moved through the security line at the Detroit airport. But she wore a big smile and a short pair of shorts, turning away from him when it was her turn to present her ID and ticket. He turned around too, wishing he was going back to Hawaii with her. She’d stayed for a few days, but she didn’t have general managers and dozens of team leads to keep Aloha Hideaway running. She also didn’t have unlimited funds for a hotel room, though Fisher had offered to pay. One of the things they’d talked about was that he wouldn’t pay for things until they were married.
