{Kiera's P.O.V}
Before we knew it we were back standing before the marble steps of the packhouse once again. The last time I was here I freaked out and tried to run away.
This time, I was going to give Jenson the benefit of the doubt and see how things went. Jenson didn't try holding my hand this time either- maybe he was scared I would freak out again, who knows?
As we approached the top, my eyes met the doors. They stood so grand, coated in navy blue and edged with a gold trim. The entrance hall was huge and there was a staircase to both sides, again decorated in a grand blue design. Jenson explained that on the right hand side through another set of double doors was the dinning hall and kitchen. It could easily sit a couple of hundred people if needed. To the left was the games room and one of the lounges.
Behind the stairs, parallel to the entrance doors were another set of door that led to a giant pool and barbecue area.
On the first floor was another lounge, and guest bedrooms for when other high ranking members visit from other packs.
The second floor had another lounge, and several meeting rooms, including Jenson's office.
The third held the bedrooms for the Beta and Gamma and their family members and the fourth floor was solely for the Alpha and Luna.
Upon further inspection there was also a library in the left of the basement alongside holding cells to the right.
The colour scheme was obviously blue and grey with gold added for effect.
"Would you like me to give you a proper tour of the packhouse, Princess? Or would you rather settle yourself in first?"
"If you don't mind, I'd like to settle myself in first."
"No problem, let's go"
With that he walked me all the way up to the fourth floor. By the last set of stairs I was feeling the burn in my legs. Jenson just chuckled at me.
As we walked into the room, my jaw almost hit the floor. There was a Super King size bed centred in the middle of this giant room, with a night stand either side . There was a sitting area with two double couches and a coffee table and two other doors which I could only imagine were for the wardrobe and on-suite. The wall behind the bed was made of glass with a balcony attached which overlooked the lake and some forest.
"This is huge, this is almost the same size as Dex's house!"
"Please don't say his name in here, we wouldn't want to taint the room with bad taste. Who exactly was Dex anyway... was he your boyfriend?"
Wow, somehow I didn't think this conversation was coming. How do I tell him that Dex kidnapped me when I was 12, turned me into a slave, abused me and planned on making me work in his nightclub entertaining sleazy men, as soon as I turned 18.
Thinking about it, why was Jenson there?
"I'd like to ask you why you were even there in the first place."
"Well, I'm the CEO of the largest security company in the state. I'd been asked to personally provide my best equipment for the club. I have no idea why a club like that needed such high end equipment, but business is business. I'm actually due to go back there tomorrow night, but I think with me stealing you away from him, he won't be my biggest fan"
Something told me Jenson really wasn't that bothered or intimidated by Dex. It was nice to think Jenson could protect me from that monster.
"So... who is he then?"
After a minutes silence, I started to stutter.
"Dex... is... he kind of... when I was... he..."
Jenson's eyes squinted as I struggled to get any words out. He could tell it was uncomfortable for me so suggested he ask me questions and I could just nod or shake my head to answer for yes and no.
"Is he your boyfriend?... no"
"Is he a family member?...no"
"Is he a friend?... no"
"I really don't understand, Kiera. Do you even know him?"
He looked so puzzled by my answers.
"Dex, kind of... took me..."
"Took you... where? Where did he take you?"
"To his house. I've been there for years."
"You mean he kidnapped you?"
His eyes turned black and his fangs protruded from his gums. I could see him fighting with his wolf for control.
"Yes, when I was 12 I was involved in an RTC. I don't remember much about it, other than I was in the car with my mum and dad. I remember we were on our way to the beach, but I don't remember anything else. I assumed they had died as no one ever bothered to look for me. Dex told me in the beginning how he has saved me and how if it wasn't for him I'd be dead or in the care system. Things slowly started getting worse and before I knew it I was acting like his slave and being hit and beat up daily."
By this point Jenson had lost all control and his wolf let out a powerful growl, shaking the whole room. Within minutes Dylan was by my side, looking as if he was ready to fight. Another two people followed shortly after.
"What the hell, man!? You shook the house! What's going on?" Dylan shouted.
"Back off Dylan!" He growled with his Alpha aura, giving Dylan no choice but to submit.
Seeing how confused everyone was and how out of hand Jenson was getting, I walked up to him, putting my hands on his chest, looking him in the eyes.
"I'm here now, Jenson. I'm fine." I can't explain it, but I wasn't scared of him. I knew he was hurting and thought my touch may help him, like his helps me.
I watched as his eyes slowly calmed to those gorgeous blue pools, I've come to admire. His body relaxed slightly as he exhaled.
"I can't help it, I'm sorry. You're my mate and I should have protected you."
As he looked up, he realised Dylan and two others were standing behind me. I was pleading with him with my eyes to keep what I'd just told him to himself and as if he read my mind he stopped.
"I apologise for alerting you all, but there is nothing to discuss here."
It was slightly cold, but it would have to do.
"Callan, Courtney, this is Kiera."
Callan gave me a sincere smile, "Nice to finally meet you, Jenson hasn't stopped talking about you in days!"
I almost forgot I've been here so long, having slept most of it!
Courtney however throws her arms around my neck and squeezes me hard, "Oh my goddess. I have been waiting for this day forever! I can't believe I am getting a sister!"
I look at her confused before Jenson steps in between us.
"Give her some space Courtney, in fact if everyone could leave and let us get washed up for dinner we will meet you all down there shortly."
She pouts before adding, "OK, but we are going shopping ASAP! I have so many plans!"
Jenson rolls his eyes and pulls me into a hug once more... "Well, now you've met my sister. That just leaves my parents."
Parents?! How could I forgot about the parents!!
As bad as I thought meeting Jenson's parents would go... I wan not prepared to get caught off guard by Jenson's side piece!
