Chapter 13: Painful past

My heart broke seeing Amyra's tears. She was shattered.

How can Isaiah say something like that? He better has a good reason, I thought to myself. I was angry with his remark on Amyra.

But at that moment I had just dispersed everyone so that we can leave the house to their owners.

I wanted to talk to Alex and Master Isaiah as to what was going on.

I had asked Josh to drop Amyra at her friend's house.

She was not willing to leave until she got the answer as to why she was held responsible for the attack.

I had called Alex and Isaiah to meet me in my office, dad also joined me after listening to all the chaos that happened.

My blood was boiling for accusing Amyra of all this.

When we all sat down and I glanced at Isaiah.

"Master Isaiah...why do you say that Amyra is responsible for all this?" I ask him fiercely.

"Because it is Alpha,...didn't you see the rogues, vamps are behind her, it started once she came here," he says eyeing at me.

"Tell me the truth Master Isaiah...what you know about it?" I ask him again raising my voice.

I saw Alex from the corner of my eye, he seemed like he was in deep thought.

"I know that she is not a normal werewolf," he says vaguely, I rolled my eyes as if it answered everything.

"And..."

"I don't know..." he says and shooks his head.

He was getting on my nerves now.

I greeted my teeth but my dad's hand brushed my shoulders, I sighed heavily.

"Alex...Can you explain to me how did you shift when you are not 18 yet?" I ask.

Alex rubs his fingers on his forehead and eyes keeping both the hand on his knees.

"Alex...I want to know if she is in danger, so start speaking" I say my voice calm and sharp.

He squeezes his eyes tight and releases them.

"They weren't rogues," he says looking at me.

I look at him confused. What is he talking about?

"When she was a baby, it was not rogues who took her. It was..." he trails off breathing heavily.

"It was black hooded flying ghosts, a group of them invaded our pack. As soon as their leader took her in his arms, she screamed her lungs out as she lost her wolf instantly, she lost her part and her past life memories. I don't know was it some kind of magic they used to take her wolf away. I don't know why they wanted to take her, they came only because of her. I have heard that they control the vampires and rogues too. Nobody has seen their leader. They only appear in dark."

"In our family, especially we twins have this special power that our wolves will be with us since birth, we don't have to wait till 18th birthday to shift and run. Till now Amyra has not shifted, that's the reason I'm worried that whether she will be able to shift on her birthday or not. She has to get her wolf back. There are consequences in both, if she shifts then he will follow her. If she doesn't, he has already seen her, that's why these attacks. I don't know what he wants from her" he says looking at me and shook his head.

"I'm sorry, I should have told you this before but..." he trails off again.

"I don't want to hurt or lose her, she doesn't know any of this. She thinks she is human and she is happy like that," he says watching me.

I am completely stunned by his story. I didn't get my words, I touch my cheeks, I felt watery.

It was her birthday tomorrow, she thinks her parents abandoned her.

She had such a painful past.

I rose from my seat and left the room.

I called Josh, he said he is on the way. I asked him to stay there.

I could listen to him sighing.

"Next time, you only leave her at her place," he says getting irritated.

"Next time she will be with me, in my arms," I say turning on the car engine.

He scoffs and says "Fine, I will wait here".

I hung up the call and drive as fast as I can.

All the thought about her flashes back in my mind, and pain starts filling my heart.

After a few minutes, I cross Josh.

He starts screaming behind me and gets his Jeep.

I reach Milly's house and push the door open.

I see Milly, Josie, and Michelle sitting and talking something.

As I barge in they look up at me and stand in their place looking surprised.

Amyra is on call.

I quickly grab her from behind.

She turns and drops the phone.

I see, her eyes are bloodshot, she was crying the whole time.

I hold her waist pushing her to the wall, I took my hand from her waist to the back of her neck, holding her tight, tilting her head a bit, I kiss her gently at first, and deepen instantly.

Her eyes went wide, surprised by my act.

Her hands clenched on the sides of her dress.

Her lips were soft, warm, and juicy.

At first, she hesitated, later kept her hand on my chest.

Feeling excited, I leaned in her close one hand against the wall behind her head and another hand in her hair through her neck without breaking the kiss.

My tongue asking for permission to enter her mouth.

She opened a little and suddenly our tongues touch each other, tasting each other deeply, we were in the world of inebriation.

We kissed for a few minutes closing eyes in bliss.

When we broke, we both were panting, her eyes half hooded filled with lust reflecting mine, and her lips swollen.

I leaned in closer again looking directly into her eyes, I say "I will be with you always forever, no matter what".

I turn to see three girls and their shocked faces.

Josh's mouth agape, who was standing on the doorway.

I turn to Amyra, who gazed at me.

"Bye," I say and leave.

We are out of the house.

Josh looks at me quizzically.

"What?" I ask eyeing him.

He shakes his head from left to right and from right to left like a pendulum, holding his hands on his sides.

"You can give these looks later, let's leave," I say.

He rolls his eyes.

"Oh! wait...it's her birthday tomorrow. I want to wish her, so let's wait till midnight." I say.

He sighs.

We get into a restaurant with a bar attached.

We order dinner and drinks.

While the order comes, I start to tell him the story that Alex had told me.

He listens to me attentively.

He shakes his head and asks "So there's no guarantee that she will shift tomorrow?".

"No," I say sighing.

"What if she doesn't shift at all?"

"What if she has lost her wolf forever?" he asks with the concerning look.

This thought had crossed my mind.

I gulp my drink.

"I don't only see her as a mate, I love her," I watch him as I say.

"If she doesn't get her wolf back, I don't mind", I say looking away.

"And what about Max? Is he ok with that?" he asks.

Max is my wolf. He loves Amyra and he is comfortable with her. He wants to be with her all the time. He wants to mark her and make her ours.

I say "He is happy".

I take a look at the watch, "It's time we have to leave now" I say.

He nods and we leave.

I see a window of her bedroom open. Josh gets the ladder.

I get into her bedroom slowly jumping off the window. I have never done such silly things before, but it felt good. I was feeling I am a 16yr young boy who has a crush on a girl. I was not that old either, I smiled to myself at the thought. I want to see where this love takes me.

I have fallen for this girl, I don't want anything else. I want her and only her. I will do whatever it takes to keep her safe and mine forever.

I slowly approached her bed, she was sleeping peacefully, moonlight entering the gap of windows, made her face glow and her lips glisten. Oh God, how could this angel be my life, my love? I thought to myself leaning close to her, I inhaled her scent. Her blanket was out of place, covering half of her body. She was wearing shorts exposing her thighs and long legs and a tight T-shirt which stop above her navel. I took a view of her perfect figure, I felt like running my fingers through hips to her shoulders. Her t**s were peeping through the fabric. f**k! my muscle was hard and aching at the sight. I adjusted the sight and I leaned again to wish, but instead end up kissing her gently and "Happy birthday sweetheart" I wish against her lips. She changes her posture by my touch, giving more view of her exposed body.

Gosh! If I stay for more time here, I may explode by the sight alone.

I kiss her again and leave.
